The first kind of potato omelette is almost exactly a traditional Spanish dish called Spanish Tortilla (except the Spaniards would probably threaten you if you dare to put ketchup on it!). The second one is very similar to a French Tartiflette. I think the French use a different type of cheese and bacon in it. Delicious!
Cool, but in our country it is considered a traditional snack dish (Derynu) I make them a little differently, I'm sure that the final taste is quite similar, but still different :)
Everything looks great 👍 The only thing i never use vegetable oil and also i never use frying. Instead i use olive oil and straight to the oven. Overall, good receipt!!
you've made me hungry! Au gratin is my favorite potato dish. yum! I'd love to have the pattern to your crochet trivet. I'm good about creating patterns from pictures, but not THAT good. Seriously, I would love that pattern if you made it.
A variation for Recipe 2 - Add contents of a french onion soup mix to the milk and cream then pour over the sliced potatoes. Cover and cook at 350F or 180C for about 50minutes, uncover add cheese and cook until melted or a light brown color.
