Love your vids makes me so home sick. Back in the 80s l worked as a loader ground crewman for Te Onepu Helicopters based at Tikokino and then at Te Onepu in the Hawakes Bay. Our Jet Ranger 206 got it's 100hr service in Ardmore up in Auckland so myself and a local shepherd took the opportunity to get dropped off at Ngaawapurua hut .The scheduled service was only suposed to take two days but there was a problem with parts and the Machine was going to be out of action for a while, but we didn't know so we are waiting at the hut unable to go for a hunt . Luckily my hunting partner got a yearling hind on the first day . On the 4th day Lin Wilson flew in with his 300 c and dropped us off up at Ngamatea Station and we hitched a ride into Hastings on the back of a Hilux Ute. I have photos of the hut as it was then and it's changed so much and a shot of me on the swing bridge. Great memories I must get back there before it's to late . Hope little reds shoulder is ok.
