The first 3 weeks of this season where Fitzpatrick threw 11 touchdown passes was, outside of his stint in Buffalo, peak Fitzmagic
His play this season before getting benched for Tua was also Peakspatrick

This is definitely a game I’ll remember, but would love to forget. Crazy that after this game, the Saints would win 10-straight (some in blowout style) and finish the regular season 13-3 (and one game shy of the Super Bowl). Meanwhile the Buccaneers would finish a lowly 5-11 and finish in last place in the NFC South.
Simply put, this game had me and all other Saints fans pretty concerned and Buccaneers fans (and the NFL) hype. I never understood how the Saints got beat so bad here and then absolutely dominated the rest of the season. 🤷🏻♂️
After the way that year ended for the Saints though...man, I don't know. If I was a fan, I would almost be looking back at this game nostalgically. At least there was still the whole season ahead, a chance to make things right.
After last nights debacle this was a refreshing memory.

Fitzpatrick definitely causes many emotional ups and downs, increased anxiety and stress. One week you witness him throw 3tds, 0 Interceptions, and make crucial plays to win and you sort of relax and think " well, he could possibly take this team to the playoffs.....then the next week, he throws 3 Interceptions on the first 3 drives and loses by 24 points.
Fitzpatrick gets dealt the same shitty hand that guys like Nick Foles and Matt Cassel get. You show flashes you can play so you end up getting stuck in this cycle of teams that desperately need a QB acquiring you. They never get to grow with a culture... They are just thrown to the fire with some sub par to average team.
Yeah but Fitzpatrick is 10 times better than those guys. Fitz has had multiple season of above average qb play whereas nick roles only had one good season and the rest were all horrible.
@@Banewasright Nick Foles had a superb year in 2013, with a 27/2 TD/INT ratio (best in history at that time), and then Chip Kelly gave up on him for no reason other than his narcissism and sent him to the Rams.
Then he came back to Philly and won a superbowl.
Then was back up for Wentz again until Wentz went down again in 2018 and Foles led the Eagles to the playoffs. Then Foles led one of the most clutch game winning drives I have seen recently against the Bears in the playoffs and beat them on the road, and lost to the Saints on a dropped ball by Alshon Jeffery.
Tell me again how Foles has a history of being horrible. You don't just get to just casually watch the 2020 Bears and make a blanket statement like that.

@@whatup6557 everything I said was correct because I was referring to seasons as a starting quarterback. He absolutely did play amazing in those postseason fill ins, especially the super bowl season, but that was literally like 8 games all together lmao. Every other season he has been a starter bedsides the good eagles one you mentioned, he has been god awful, one of the worst quarterbacks I’ve ever seen play in recent memory. The bears are awful and he’s one of the biggest, if not the biggest, reasons why.
