Eminem wrote this song for Hailey assuming that he wouldn’t be alive for much longer to see her grow up. The chorus is essentially him telling her to remember him fondly and know that he loves her. With his addiction struggles and his depression (especially during this time) we’re lucky to still have Marshall Mathers around!!
Something alot of ppl miss in this video is when he's looking at himself in the mirror and says "Put it to my brain and scream DIE SHADY and pop it", if you look closely you see that Eminem's hair is brown and his reflection is blond.. So that's a metaphor of him actually trying to get away from Slim Shady and to only be himself again! AND he actually did keep shady away for many years until Kamikaze dropped where Shady catches up with him (In "Fall" music video).. He even mentions a line he said in this song on a Ft with Boogie "Fuck it, I thought this might be a good time to put woke me to rockabye", cause in this song he said he'd put Shady in rockabye.. He has layers of hints and clues tied in to soooo many songs its insane! You really have to pay attention to everything when it comes to Eminem haha Great reaction btw, keep it up!
Cuda Hitz i have been listening to Eminem for 20 years and they are probably the deepest songs he has ever written. Especially Arose. I cried the first time I heard it. Like weeping. I still get a little tearful when I hear it now.
Great reaction. thank you! this song is very emotional. the little girl who plays Hailie is really talented and at first I thought it was her. The end is also very beautiful, with her little sister Whitney. Too many emotions!
lol you chose to go down the feels route, always got sad chills when his daughter speaks the words in this songs video. The video really amplifies the emotions in this one. "Eminem - My dad's done crazy" is a song he did with young Hailie, created a day when he brought her in the studio, Super fun song and Hailie is actually in it.
Eminem its the "Show", Slim Shady its Crazy and Marshall Mathers its the real one. He is that artist that you will hear and you will always feel what he says, many of his songs helped me to overcome less good times in my life. Real recognize real . Cheers from Portugal .
I am very happy you were able to get through those tough times! You're crushing it and never look back. Always keep your eyes forward and just crush it🔥 Cheers back from Canada!
Em is brave AF for putting out the sh/t from his life. That's why he's the GOAT because he doesn't hold back, he doesn't hide, he's not afraid to take any risk if it speaks the truth. When you feel like going to the harder side you should watch the beef between him and Machine Gun Kelly. It's hilarious. You HAVE TO START WITH MGK "RAP DEVIL" Then listen to Em's response. If I were you I'd watch them back to back and just make it a 2 Part special.
i think Em literally told all his storys kinda sad because he has so strong emotions in his lyrics. I like him but the newest songs are not so good as the old classic songs.. still love him one of my fav. rappers of all time ^^
Hit you with the pre-watch 'like' bc you're an awesome dude and I know I'll like this vid :D Edit: Most people don't realize this about this track and it took me a while too: the whole 2nd verse is just a dream; he starts it by saying 'I keep having this dream..'. That's why you see her at the concert and she says she followed him (cause obviously a kid wouldn't be able to do that). Same with the boxes piled at the door. If you look a little closely, you'll see the whole 2nd verse has that surrounded to emphasize its a dream. Took me a while to notice :) And ofc great reaction. Love how passionate you are about music homie
Cuda Hitz if you do Stan, maybe use an uncensored lyrics only version. The video is amazing but the true test of a great story is being able to see it with just words.
The clip wasn't even needed, most of his songs is like reading a comic book in your mind seeing what's happening picture by picture. I'll always listen to his music... even at 80

That actually makes a lot of sense and that is so friggin cool to hear!
Why did he think he would die soon? Sorry I'm a new eminem fan so idk
@@jonaton7910 He was heavily addicted to pills and had nearly overdosed recently when he wrote this.
@@AfterthoughtTV Thanks man
@@jonaton7910 no problem friend
It doesn't matter how many times i hear this song and mockingbird , it always brings me tears

That was a great breakdown on that!!👌🏽
Honestly would not have caught that ever! Super cool that he puts that extra effort
Thanks for the insights my friend!:)
This song hurts to imagine when ur favorite rapper “Eminem” is gone
The moment he realises his name is Marshal Mathers and Eminem is just his initials ( M and M ) but say it Eminem 🤷♂️ his name already has a bar
Eminem is legendary phenomenal artist in the entire planet.
This song always makes me tear up 💔😭
Great reaction. He is one of the best story teller. You should react to Castle and Arose from his revival album but you must react to them together
Nice I will check them out! More deep fell songs?
Cuda Hitz i have been listening to Eminem for 20 years and they are probably the deepest songs he has ever written. Especially Arose. I cried the first time I heard it. Like weeping. I still get a little tearful when I hear it now.
Him Naz and Tupac are my favourite story tellers
Heart breaking song! The feels! 😔❤
it is actually incredible how emotional it isss
Technically his best story ever told is Stan tho, but i get your drift
Jeeez I got to listen to Stan! Everyone is saying it!
Stan!!!! for sure!!!!!!! And lose yourself!!!!!!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯😷😷
@@cudahitz If you're going to do Stan do the version Randall O linked in the comment above this one ^
It's your opinion, I think this storytelling is better.
@@CuteMuffin-r7i as that is your opinion

It is just so well written!

Third verse on this one always gets me. Great reaction man
"Stan" is his best storytelling songs imo. If you're gonna react to the music video, make sure it's the explicit version.
Good points here man!
You've got me in my office just mumbling "eminemmineminemem" over and over
Subscribed 👍🏼. Eminem is one of the GOAT’s and you have so much more to react to. Im here for it
Marc, I appreciate you my friend! Thank you
The best reaction
Best music 😍

Marshall Mathers -> M&M -> Eminem.
That’s why he calls himself Eminem

Check out Rap God or Berzerk
Love Rap God, but never heard of Bezerk so got to check it!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯👏😷😷😷
Thanks my friend!
🤗🤗🤗🤗
This is a great song, but not the best story he ever told. I think that goes to “Stan” and “Bad Guy”
I have yet to check out Stan but it is a popular request!
