The problem with Milan is that they don't play as a team, but as a bunch of individuals, as seen with the ball-hogging and slow buildup. There is zero chemistry amongst them and there is hardly ever an attempt to play the striker, even if they are in a scoring position. Most of the time, it just so happens that the ball rolls in the path of the striker after someone strikes it. Pioli obviously never stomps out these acts of selfishness, witnessed every time they're on the pitch.
