Beautifully edited. Cannot wait for the other episodes. After 3 years of collecting I got my first pairs of Japanese boots: John Lofgren M-43 and RDT coupen derby in brown suede. Truly, truly outstanding both pairs.
Thank you!! That's one of the major reasons I wanted to make this trip and document it. Just getting started on this series and our overall suite of Tokyo coverage...huge thanks for watching and digging it, and stay tuned!!
@@hndrwn Ah ha! Amazing! Happy to share endless recs but here’s one: you’re near Sendagaya definitely swing into Super 8 Shoes and say what’s up to Gucci for me. Absolutely insane vintage shoe store/cobbler shop.
Love that you were able to see the Boots Factory workshop. All these shops have such great stories behind their products. And the boots themselves are just phenomenal, I love that they always have worn pairs in the shop.
Indeed! What many Japanese bootmakers-and also bespoke and other shoemakers of all kinds-can often be just so precise and distinct and obviously quite wonderful.
Finally Rolling Dub Trio gets some of the credit they deserve.🙏.🧐😎 I have the 6” Roots in Brown Horserump and The Gleaners in Natural Japanese Roughout and exclusive from Butterscotch and Bean in Longbeach CA.
Just a fabulous brand all around-what trickles into the States is just a fraction of what they create. It's all so distinct and wonderful. Incredible retail shop but hitting the Boots Factory to start off shooting was just the best possible way to do it.
Great job on this, dude!
Carl you are the 👑

Great video and oh my what a great production
Absolutely beautiful content. Finding anything in English about RDT and especially Brother Bridge was impossible until now.

There may be more worn pairs in boot stores in Tokyo than new boots in boxes. It's so fantastic.

Ben -- this is great content. Thank you for pulling this together. Am looking forward to the remaining episodes in this series.
Oh man I'm glad you like it! Tokyo has such an incredible boots subculture that I felt needed to be documented...just hoping I did it some justice. 😬
The Japanese have taken boot making to a whole new level , amazing collection.

Oh snap, thank you Steve!!

What is the low shoe you’re wearing at 9:00 minute mark? They look awesome
@@Dressommer Seidel bullhide leather Russell Moccasin Fishing Oxford! Little collab we did about a year ago. Insanely comfortable shoes.
Man, I hadn't planned on buying another pair of boots on my next trip to Tokyo, but now I don't know if I''ll be able to stop myself.
Oh no I’m sorry 😅

@@SlavaT Actually have a wonderful visit with Attractions coming next episode with some really interesting factory info
@@stitchdown Thanks for the answer. I'll wait for the next part.
My god those Zerrow’s boots are equal parts work boots and dress boots.
