i recommend using contrast mediums mixed with the flesh tone. it gets in the crevices beautifully and allows highlights to be easier imo. great paint job regardless!
@@Epicduck you’re right, the secret sauce I found is a 2:1 ratio when thinning down the acrylic paint. this was my personal experience with this model, but the medium allows the paint to run into the recesses deep and stain the raised bits instead if turning it white like contrast does. i found that it’s kind of a mix of the base and wash stage.
Recent? She's been around since 1983 my dude. Sure she got turned back into a little girl who died of the Legacy Virus during the 90's and didn't come back until 2008 but still. So don't sleep on the 80's New Mutants run, it's good stuff.
Good to know. I couldn't find *any* artwork of her that was, say, pre-2000ish. Certainly nothing in the style of 90s era X-Men. I'm in my 40s and until this character was released I'd never even heard of her - but I'll admit I'd also never read The New Mutants.
loving the content!
Thanks :D

Contrast Medium also makes the paint semi-translucent. The aim with this style is distinct colour breaks, which rely on maintaining opacity.

Marvel makes some of the most characterful models right now.
Yeah, AMG knocked this one out of the park for sure.

Came here to say this. She has been a favorite of mine and am thrilled she's back.
Great as always. Only thing I would say is I'd probably knock that upper teeth highlight back. It makes her look like she has braces on.
It's a lot less noticeable when you're looking at an actual miniature instead of *really* zoomed in on a monitor ;)
Like number 20 😁 Quack quack 🤣 🤏
