Me felicito!

These are the first 4 minutes: - 15 April 1910 you are born in Warsaw? - Yes - Who were the Najdorf [family] - My father was a sales man, lether, he played chess a little, he had 4 siblings/brothers, all professionals. He used to say that he would like his children to become professionals, and not sales men. I was studying at that time at a technical college in Warsaw. I liked chess since I was little. My dad used to allow me to play then -- my mother did not. Some chess sets I bought she would burn them down and tell me "once you complete your education, then you can play" - Was it a very religious jewish family? - No. My grandfather was, but my parents were not. They were jewish by tradition, like me. - We could say they were "liberals" - Yes - How was your childhood? - I had a happy childhood, we were a large family. My mother had 11 sisters. We were a very united family, and I have been very close to my brothers/siblings. My siblings could not study in Poland in that time because of "problems" with the jewish people. There was "numerus clausus", meaning, there were restrictions for jewish people to study in Warsaw. My father was economically speaking doing well, so instead my brothers studied in France, Czechoslovakia. Every now and then they probably needed a little monetary assistance, but since at that time already I was having some income from chess, I used to help them. They used to tell me that they would give it back, but they never did [smiling]. - Who teached you to play chess? - It was incidental. I had a friend, whom father worked at the Warsaw Philarmonic, he was a musician. One day I went to see him, I was 12 or 13, and couldn't find him, "where's Rubén?". My friend's father was having the flu, so he sent him to the pharmacy. He told me to wait for him, as he was to return shortly. So he had a chess set in front of him, and asked me "do you know to play chess?", and I said "no", and he replied "and aren't you ashamed? Come, I'll teach you". So, as I was waiting for my friend, I allowed him to teach me -- now, after a week I already was better than him.
