Wow! That Hammond sounds great! That organ intro (sound) is what defines the Dan’s song. The original recording would be ever so slightly better with the Hammond song from this recording.
Here Here!
Memories of David Palmer as Steely Dan’s short-lived lead vocalist. Nice job, Brooklyn Charmers!
The bass player & keyboardist are REALLY good singers.😊
Man, this band is so smooth - all of them. Great cover.
Another flawless rendition of an SD classic, now get your butts to Ft. Wayne or Indianapolis!!!
Longtime Charmer fane here welcoming the new guitarist who did such a fine job on this classic. As usual you guys are in my mind doing something good for humanity by keeping this music alive. Also great work on the “sax” solo, so creative!
Amazing, Ireland tour boys please?? 🙏🙏
Love you guys 💋💖✌️
Best cover ive heard
Saw these guys in Three Oak, Michigan over the weekend. Absolutely burned from start to finish. Incredible musicians.
Pianist bringing that Steely fire.
Guys, beautiful 🎸🎶 🎙 🎹 ❤️
Nice job , brings back memories .good job on relatively hard song to duplicate .can't wait to see more .
"Dirty Work" lead singer David Palmer has become a professional digital photographer. He's interviewed on a UA-cam video, and mentions his history with Steely Dan and later Carole King (he wrote the lyrics to her 1974 smash hit "Jazzman").
Great job on the keyboards !!
Very nice.
Beautifully done love you guys!!!
Love the organ. One of my top five SD song.
Great job! How about a Patreon category at 5-6 dollars a month?
Good idea!

Is the Charlotte, NC area going to see you guys anytime in near future?
I'm in love with the keyboard guy, i'm not gay tho:D wierd
Is that the regular keyboardist/lead singer?
They have changed Gibson players?
I must've missed something...
All good!
Frankie Lightning is still in our back pocket and will be playing with us from time to time ;)
I'm not going to rate this because I feel that the only two things are that the performance needs. First, the singer isn't aggressive enough with the lyrics. He just isn't attacking the song with the emotion the song deserves. he sings well, but this song is about a gigolo that is tired of the J.O.B. of the job. Put that idea into it. Second, while technically and musically you nailed it you didn't own it. I suggest a rearrangement somehow. Maybe a less reggae feel or maybe more. I seriously think that this song would work great as a Country song with a bit of Steel guitar and a Texas Twang. Maybe a 'Dallas' parody video to go with it.
I agree! While they’re hitting everything note for note, they’re performance/s always lack a certain energy, “oomph”, “punch”, “conviction”. Being faithful to the song is great, but you have to let it rip with a little more feeling and dynamics. I wonder if they’re playing to a click track?
