It gives cookies great flavor! But be careful, because not all cookie recipes are developed for melted butter (like this brown butter). I'd suggest searching for a recipe that includes brown butter or uses melted butter already in the recipe.
Oh no! Don't worry, I've definitely had that happen too! The big thing is to make sure you're browning it over low heat and watching it throughout the whole process. Don't be scared to try again - it just takes time and practice. You got this!!! 😃

It is brown butter, not orange butter. If it isn't dark brown, it isn't done yet.
Love the video! I have tell you though that the "thumbnail" picture was cut off and said How to own butt. 😂
😂😂😂 definitely need to update that!!
@@HomebodyEats it’s still there. It’s why I clicked, and it worked - I know how to own butt now 🫦
😂😂😂 I was thinking “ this video is about how to grow a butt” lmao
@@PrettyNatural92why did you click it then?
I read this as “How to own a Butt”” for some reason? Either way I LOVE the recipe and will use it in my next batch of cookies!
😂😂😂 yeah UA-cam shorts messed up my original thumbnail picture. I'm glad it was helpful though!
Thank you so much! This was so helpful
So... Clarified butter without the filtering out the milk solids?
It's definitely cooked a lot further than clarified butter, but I think that's a good analogy!
This looks good.... What does the flavor profile achieve? Does it make treats sweeter or more chewy? How does it effect cookies? Or breads?
It adds a delicious nutty, rich flavor! It's not really sweet unless you add sugar to it. But definitely give it a try and let me know!
kind of a carmaly flavor. I add bacon bits😊
Thank you so much❤
So glad it was helpful 💜
Excuse me what's the effect of brown butter on cookies ? Becuase in some recipes I see that browned butter at first but I dont know why

@@HomebodyEats thank you so much 🙏
What type of butter did you use?(brand)
I'm not sure specifically for this video, but typically I just buy the unsalted generic brand at Aldi or Walmart ☺️
@@HomebodyEats ok thank you so much!
Is it after melted the gram will be decrease ?
Yes after it's melted the weight will decrease slightly
Does it matter if I use Salted butter/unsalted butter?
Yes it does use only unsalted butter
It's recommended to stick to unsalted butter for this one. But salted butter can work in a pinch, you just have to watch it a little closer.
@@Justxavier_ thank you :)
@@HomebodyEats Thanks :)
Basically oil?
It has an oil consistency, but it definitely doesn't taste or behave the same way as oil.
Or just do it in the microwave. Less chances of burning it
Can you brown butter in the microwave? I've never heard of this!
My butter just explodes on me
Help 😭

That's definitely not true! But you're welcome to take it slightly further. Just be sure you don't burn it! ☺️
in the classic method there is NO STIRRING, and the bitter brown bits are strained out.
Thanks for sharing! There are definitely different thoughts on how to make brown butter 🙂
Do be sure that you're keeping the brown bits because that's where all the flavor is!
So you burn it and not brown it.
