I was totally floored by the Commanche story of the giants, I had heard a little bit of this legend as a child but this made it more believable 🥰🥰🥰🥰thanks 🌞🙏🏼🥰🥰🥰
The ancient shipwreck is a perfect example of how archeology is mostly conjectured. The wreck could have gotten there by a storm, not because of brave sailors. To say that one lone wreck shows that ancient people sailed across the seas instead of hugging the coast is ludicrous.
The cave of the Rising Stars is an outstanding discovery! They were able to determine that yes they did bury their loved ones and they buried them with burial rituals, like leaving trinkets and weapons and things behind in their graves. They also discovered that they were very small people like no bigger than 4’9 they could’ve even been smaller. Their bones were very slender and long in proportionate to their bodies. They are definitely a weird species of humanoid that they discovered they know that these people were using fire because there’s evidence of fire use at the cave where they buried their dead. They were really advanced for their time. There’s a whole documentary about it! This also pushes our timeline back even further for human evolution. I wish I could remember the name of the documentary, but it’s worth a watch definitely ✨ 🌟 💫
If he were part of the educational system, he'd have to tow the party line spouting off the nonsense they have today instead of the truth like this and he'd be penalized for saying things how they really are rather than what the "approved" lessons are. That's why I quit volunteering. Yes, a college education is great for the life paths it's useful for, but I got tired of telling kids that would be better served learning job skills or a trade that a 4 year degree was the only way to go and that there was something wrong if they don't want it. I got tired of having to not correct historical distortions to fit an agenda or lessons that I knew from post secondary experience, that no, nobody really cares how good you are at bubbling in the circles so the scantron machine will read them correctly. Literally, how to take tests and that there's something wrong with you of you don't want _at least_ a bachelor's degree, if not a master's or doctorate, that was the whole focus, that and that America is an inherently evil thing from it's very conception. (Which it isn't; we might have some chapters that we need to take heed from the unfortunate mistakes of the past, but a nation itself, a chunk of ground demarked on a map, is neither good nor evil: it is the actions and character of the people therein that can be judged and overall, as a group in America, we have been no better or worse morally and our actions have been taking an upward trajectory from the beginning, even if we hit a few huge bumps in the road, and I couldn't stand that holier than thou arrogance that bashed those they arbitrarily deemed less without looking at their own hearts first, not one day longer). But, that's just my 2 cents worth. Anyone reading this is free to disagree with me.... It is my firm opinion that if 100% of everybody agreed on 100% of everything 100% of the time like empty minded bobble heads, what a boring world it would be!
When I was younger I wanted to be a teacher. Today, in this crappy version of America where a con man rapist is our fucking president and parents and students alike are terrible you couldn't pay me enough. I'm surprised anyone wants to be a teacher anymore with all the horseshit the religious right is pumping into the school system while cutting funding. Not to mention the blatant lies idiots believe about what's going on in schools. America is rotting from the inside just like wise men said it would over a century ago. Make it make sense.
I’m not surprised. Considering much of human history wasn’t written down in any language we understand if at all, there’s no way to really know for certain how far back our history really goes.
Wine making is old... ancient egyptians made wine and beer, many religious texts (christian, jew, etc...) talk about wine thousands of years ago (4000 to 6000 years) so the italian wine thing isn't all that new
We know the Vikings were in North America before Columbus. We also know they traded with many people. Maybe the Greek coins were the property of a Viking, that were acquired in Europe and taken to North America. If Greeks did get to North America it would have been pure luck, because their craft were not as sea worthy as the Vikings, being meant for the Mediterranean not the Atlantic, unlike Viking longboats which easily got them to Newfoundland and Greenland.
4:02- Considering that the Cult of Isis would become widespread throughout the Roman Empire alongside the Romans' versions of the Greek deities before Christianity's rise, it's possible that these (as yet unconfirmed) Isis worshipers in India may have been inspired by Roman merchants and explorers (who were known to have trade routes to India) during the Roman Empire rather than having been the time of the Ancient Egyptians- roughly two thousand years earlier.
It was the women who spoke, but they found it didn't get the attention of their husbands. Thus the tradition of the word "huh?" is a million years old.
@markstewart4501 still very interesting subjects that at the very least could inspire conversation, as long as you have an open mind and understand that we DON'T know much more than we DO know about our history

#1 Maybe Homo Spiens were around a lot longer than we think, there just weren't as many of them as the others or we just haven't found their bones yet because the places they lived and died weren't conducive to fossilization.
I liked your list. It has many things to think about. But I wish to point out that #8 (I think the number is right?) The ship that sank far away from shore. It does not prove that routes far from shore were in common use. It proves that one ship sank far from shore. It could have been a test that was not repeated.
List 25, could you please start focusing more on North and South America when you do these types of videos? Because every time I watch one there's next to nothing about the Americas featured in them and I'd like to see the Americas get more love.
In 19th century New Zealand, a 15th century Tamil bell from what is now Sri Lanka was found being used as a cooking pot by members of a Maori tribe. Also a storm toppled a tree in the late 1800s in New Zealand, uncovering a stone-carved bird, with creatures resembling Asian statues of birds. Local Maori said it was brought to New Zealand by their ancestors, calculated to be around 1250 to 1300 A.D.
Interesting. The world is full of secrets and we only know 1% of everything. A lot of stuff has been lost over time and we will never know it all, but all theese discoveries are interesting, they should be on the TV more, it would be a lot better than the usual stuff they churn out.
Columbus wasn’t the first to “discover” the americas . The Vikings had a settle ment in the northern Canadian area . And I don’t doubt that maybe the Asian, Egyptian, Greeks or Romans, haven’t been here before the Vikings
@@multiyapples they came from mongolia in the north south pacific islands in Peru and the middle eastern hit the Brazil side. Why do u think we have pyramids in the America's quite similar to those in both Asia and the Middle East
I can't believe a single person upvoted this troll. Everyone knows about the Vikings. They didn't start westward expansion though. That was Columbus. Without his discovery of San Salvador (yes the natives were there before him) we wouldn't have the world we have today.
I don't think we truly can measure the age of earth. Too many surprises come along to spoil timelines. Which calendars do we decide to use? But that's just me. Good report Mike.
We can measure the age of the Earth quite precisely. (Sorry, hardcore Christians, but it’s much older than 5000 years) This video just demonstrates how much we really don’t know about the ancient civilizations that came before us.
The amphorae find is fascinating, but I was under the impression that the Canarie Islands have been known about since antiquity. The Romans after all named them. Pliny the Elder wrote about the archipelago saying that “while it was found to be uninhabited, but ruins of great buildings were seen.” There is also evidence that African Berber people settled there at least 1000 BC, and the Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, as well as the Romans were visitors there.
No... but if you went to the Roman Empire and planted Republic of Texas coins dated 2024, it would prove you were from an alternate universe and could travel intra-dimentionally 😂
There are a lot of civilizations that have had from the Mediterranean to Africa that have been lost to history. There's no question that there could be a possibility that they made it to the Americas or the smaller islands in some way.
@phife1878 There was records of expeditions from Africa that subsequently ended up triering events that led to Timbuktu being existence. As well as the richest man in history because of the previous king decided to go on a journey and try and see what was on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
