  • Lead Slates are used where a pipe penetrates a roof covering to ensure the joints are fully watertight. They can be used alongside various roofing materials, such as concrete roof tiles and roofing felt.
Unlike traditional lead slates, the QuickSlate Lead Slate features a rubber cone for virtually any pipe to fit into. All the while QuickSlate provides superior strength due to it being crafted from Code 4 lead.
Due to it being crafted from Code 4 lead, QuickSlate also makes it wonderfully versatile. This is as the lead can be carefully shaped to fit snuggly onto virtually any profile of tile or sheet.
In this video from British Lead, the UK's leading manufacturer of rolled lead sheets, we show you how to install their QuickSlate. You can also learn more about this lead slate and make mega savings at bit.ly/2BEzPbR.

Hi, great vid......thanks. I'll be going through this process soon for a house extension. Please could you let me know the life expectancy of the rubber boot, and how waterproof the whole thing tends to be ?? And is there a better way to ensure 100% waterproofness ?? Many thanks 🙂

Tiger GKW installed the way he did it they will be 100% watertight. The rubber will probably last a minimum of 15-20 years before you should have it checked out for wear and tear
