Let’s just appreciate the fact that this game can run millions of units at a time with no lag, still have interesting 1 v1 interactions and special animations , and good graphics and maps. It’s so incredibly well optimize d

Honestly, I think the turing point was that large pack of Jedi clearing the left flank(?)... they then drew forces from the center which allowed it to push up the hill and wheel right creating a firing line at the top of the plateau. Then, when the last trolls died, it was easy pickings. Honestly, for evil, the trolls did by far the most damage. It was primarily that knockup effect that kept isolating Jedi for easier killing. The good side getting stuck on the hill and then surrounded damned the right flank so it was saved almost entirely by the Jedi on the left.

I honestly feel like the trolls overperformed.
The jedi's were practically erasing anything Infront of them, yeah they pretty much only struggled against the knock up effect, but so far their damage is op
they may have been well fed at morning coffee :)

Man, these videos are exhilarating. Watching both sides running full speed into battle, totally selling out any thoughts of personal safety. I think the Jedi are my favorites.
They should have used the force they were getting Grand slammed in the air lol.
The "turning point" of the war was when Sauron decided to take knives to a gun fight.

One of the crucial points was that Sauron's army could only get down the hill from certain points meaning they couldn't all just get down the hill and overwhelm the Spec Ops and the fact that they could really only get down the hill at several key points and also they decided to separate their army to come from behind and then charge back up the hill into a hail of gunfire. It went from the evil side doing a D-Day defense to them attacking D-Day. Not to mention brave Jedi holding the left flank at bay.

Yeah. The Jedi really seemed to be what held the line so the spec ops could build up their numbers. Why Sherman tanks though? Am curious, did any tanks die?
I think the biggest fundamental flaw of this entire battle is that, defending force is lacking artillery. When we are speaking of realism, such a big blob of... ''meat'' would not survive under artillery bombartment. Actually, artillery is the main reason why troops in modern battlefield are relatively spread out. And truth be told, i havent seen any of those battle simulators depicting artillery in action realistically. While the main explosion from artillery shell would kill anyone in its immediate explosion radius, its actually the shrapnel that kills most of the troops with quite large radius from the initial explosion!
dude, actually, the reason for this is this. when there are too many soldiers on one side, the other side becomes strong as ammunition. this balance is achieved in this way. if I add a ranged unit to an army with millions of soldiers, the other side won't stand a chance.

If i were in command of the assault force, I would have formed a battle line with the tanks, leaving the jedi to stay close(ish) to the tanks to defend them up close. I never would have advanced up the hills and would have held the choke points virtually forever with sheer firepower. Also, the warships off of the coast would have opened up on the checkpoints :P When they stopped coming through the choke points, then I would have slowly advanced using dictating range as my primary resource.
I agree with this, more or less what I would have done, why waste troops throwing them into the melee range of the enemy when yuou can gun them down at range. Toss some heap rounds, and the tanks would have been blowing holes in the formations.

I thought right from the beginning until about 25 minutes that there was no way the good guys were going to win going against so many trolls and ghosts, but I was pleasantly surprised by the out come. Great work keeping it fresh

That battle was intense. I think that the turning point was when Sauron's army started to get out of melee range. With most of the heavy monsters dead the rest was demolished by gunfire and shells fired by the tanks.

You know, you should start over and come up with a story that we can follow instead of just random scenarios. Would keep a lot of viewers retention. It can still be random scenarios, but have a somewhat cohesive story. Like for this invasion…
The humans saw a warlord Sauron being able to control and bring together all the evil forces, so in a desperate act of defiance, they launched an invasion to balance the scales back to human hands.
And for the next battle…
The humans sent war parties to scout out the plains of Sauron’s lands. Sent an advance unit out while the main force gathers on the beach, but Sauron was not gonna wait and sent a counter attack. Can the advance force hold them back so the main force can prepare? Have fun
But this was a dope battle! Loved the beach landing! Hope to see a beach landing where there are thousands of ships with millions of troops against an outnumber defending force

@@BattleSimulatorCenter in a sense yes, but there doesn’t need to be an ending persay, just a small little world building. For example, down the line, if Sauron is defeated, and the evil is broken up again, then you can say that humans went back from being United, to being at war with each other again and you can have cleopatra invade Caesar and start a story line there, or maybe Sauron’s death released a dark spell that released an evil T-Rex force led by the koolaid man who can mind control the Jedi, so now it’s humans vs trex’s, Jedi, and whatever faction you want the koolaid man to mind control (waiting for Black Friday to get this game so I’ll have a better understanding of what’s in the game), just go wild!

I feel that the human soldiers played a good part in crowd control for the weak guys and let the jedi focus on the big units. The tanks are naturally gonna help wipe out heavy units and maybe even crowds.

Battle idea for this map: Might vs Myth
Invaders-
100,000 Each
Trolls, Orcs, Zombies, Ghosts, Werewolves
Defenders-
25,000 Each
Footmen, Medieval Archers, Heavy Knights, Catapults, Roman's, Roman Archers, Roman Generals, Spartans
Hopefully, the difference in numbers will be made up by the much higher numbers of ranged units that the defenders have. Also, if they are able to use the terrain to their advantage then they might be able to hold out well enough to overcome the atrackers 😁

Make the trolls 10,000 or less
maybe
100K trolls would likely steamroll that entire defending force by itself and could probably still with 15K though the only reason I could see them losing would be from 25K catapult’
With all the Jedi initially and the cannon and machine gun fire sapping the enemy before they could engage this battle was a no brainer... Sauron's forces offered little to no ranged fire initially as well and started to far back off the water... Watching the AI herd Sauron's force through the various choke points was embarrassing to watch...

I would love to see one of these simulations tweeked to include actual gun physical characteristics not magical unlimited ammunition in never ending supply with instant reloading as well as people in the back not being able to fire through friendlies. That would be a winner. The numbers would need a big change to make it work without a total massacre but I've never seen it done. It'd be a banger!

Awesome filming man, This has to be one of the most realistic scenarios Ive ever seen in UEBS 2... Well planned!!
This is probably my favorite of these simulator battles. Seeing humanity banding together against absolutely absurd numbers of monsters is just *muah* delicious! Looking on to see a veritable sea of enemies and knowing there is no more backup coming... how would that feel?
Imagine you were a jedi and were sent on a grand mission to join an army of brethren against an army of millions of orcs... how would that feel?

I get that, but I respectfully disagree. What you could do is, on the "good" side, show their count, when I watch I get invested in whether they will survive, if they start fall then I can switch gears mentally to "the last survivor" "blaze of glory" but it's you channel my dude, I'll still watch.

It doesn’t help saurons cause that most if not a good deal of his current enemies utilize ranged weaponry and forms of mobile artillery that he never encountered before during his previous battles against humanity during the war of the ring and previous wars
But what they lack in range capability they make up for in 'wait, how many tank shots can one troll take?!?!'
Actually the ghosts are usually a good range unit in these kind of numbers. I think they were just too spread out to make the difference this time.

I really love the concept of this map. However, it has an issue when spawning from the ships. I usually lose around 30% of my troops every time I try it. I hope they fix this before the full release.

Overall, it seems that the units all attack enmass, and it comes down to the same blood bath of two large groups. Is it possible to get the units or groups or units to demonstrate more strategy? Like certain positions on the map must be defended or attacked or advanced to one by one? Also, can the AI support groups of units working with each other? 3 x S. Force groups strategically work towards targets. Lure enemy units away from areas to carry out the most effective attack, etc. I guess my suggestion is a more strategic plan overall that includes smaller groups in specific attack types of operations. I have no idea if it's possible at all, but it'd be interesting to watch. Thanks anyway for all your hard work.

I like to imagine that this battle happened because Sauron either had an overdue library book or forgot to pay for a cookie or something small and it just spiraled out of control from there.

I think the insatiable murder hunger of the Jedi remains a huge inspiration to their allies and demoralizing factor for the enemy. The way the Jedi run helter-skelter ahead to kill and die with no thought to strategy or anyone's military success, just so long as they can dice and sizzle their way through someone, is still the funniest thing about this game.
That said, I need more panoramic overhead shots to really follow these. I understand you don't want to keep a score counter in the corner, and that's fine, but it's just panning from one battle to another, and then suddenly someone's won.
This reminds me of that one Wednesday night me and the boys went out but we had class the next day … 😪
All those dead Jedi deserve the medal of honor. Without their sacrifice the war would have been lost.

The Jedi demolished the man sized enemies, but were demolished by the larger creatures. Although they did collapse the enemy's right flank. But this just goes to show that 20th and 21st century modern military is devastating. In reality though, off-shore artillery and some bombing by capital ships from space would have left nothing but a much lower casualty clean-up.

Sauron's Plight was where he put his army. Couldn't get them all down to the fight fast enough once it started and that, coupled with overwhelming power, led to the demise of the massive fleet that was the eye of Sauron's power..

This is what a battle looks like. Instead of one side moving and the other static. Kind of surprising. While the jedi did lots of damage. It also looks like they were eventually wiped out. The regular soldiers were the ultimate victors.
Once the US got the high ground and regrouped, it was over for Sauron's army. For a while I was thinking the US would get flanked from the beach side as they gave up that position, but looks like they were able to pull through.

The turning point was when they first landed on the beach they did not establish a defensive line to protect further beach landings until a sizable counterforce could be established jumping off the boat and running single file into the horde is absurd.
