Right? Sorry to necro lol. Him, and Phace. I would like to try emulating both of their sounds. They're highly talented German electronic artists for sure :3
This is a Very Special set. Besides the music, my favorite thing about it is contemplating the sheer number of jump up fans in that crowd getting their minds absolutely blown by the Maestro.
Every time I come back to this set (which is often, because it ROCKS) I'll always come to the comment section to see people RIGHTLY adulating the 2 LADS in the CV shirts. This time round I noticed at 15:07 & 15:19 the absolute perfect in-time skanking when CV drops Melt. Big up those two glorious bastards, you got a beautiful treat.
@@joanne1j hey exactly I think it really depends on the number of led panels on the stage etc...For example Let it roll winter 2018 cvav set was pure fire with the visuals
CV, was the person , one of these who got me in to pure dark, and seruousely agressive DNB world. I mean true dark side sound from early 2000s Not sure, but i guess it was 2005. Strange peace, dark rain, full spectrum warrior (oh my lord) and others. Later i discovered his art since earlier times, abstrakt DNB and other sound. Pure tallent! But What is going on nowadays, i cant explain. Such trend on simpiest struktures, ugly(imho) samples, lack of filosophy, weak and same drumloops. Whatis the point
similar story as you, current value showed me beautiful music for the first time hearing dark rain/edge of the cliff. i will miss it, but CV is still interesting to me, he uses a good variety of drum sounds, sound design is sick. current value is the only dnb artist i still listen to :)
ur probably the type of guy to call a complete set trash when the Dj just made one single little beat matchup mistake lol (not a personal attack, I mean it more as a joke x)
@@DubTurd Nah not at all :) I'm just really particular about audio quality. Really bugs me when they don't correctly record a set for the best possible audio to be present. The bass is like non existent in these recordings, which really sucks because there was some fuckin great sets played here.
@@Dead_ham idk about you but I hear plenty of bass through my Kingston HyperX Cloud II headset haha. But i have to agree. It makes no sense to simply not record the straight audio output when u can.
@@DubTurd I'm using some Sennheiser HD-650s driven by an Apogee Groove DAC/amp, and these sets sound awful. They put way too much emphasis on recording the crowd. Compare these recordings to another festival such as Defqon.1 or EXIT and you can hear a clear difference in overall quality. It's always better to record the output as you said :)
he's probably using Traktor with a custom layout in TouchOSC an app that turns your iOS device into basically a midi controller... it's pretty easy to do it, albeit time consuming to set up, but once you've set it up, you can basically mix using your tablet and laptop...
@@robertiagar partly correct, yes!...its a studio mix of almost entirely original tunes.... all of which have already been arranged to mix in tempo, so he isn't beat-matching anything. I believe he is running ableton live on a PC laptop with a custom TouchOSC layout on his ipad, mapping several controls for each channel; track volume, filters, crossover, frequency shifter, time warp (backspin), and groove shuffle (used for instant halftime edits)… pretty unique performance set up indeed! Tim will be the first to admit that he is a "drum and bass artist", not considering himself a DJ. cheers, Robert!

I love how the camera is shaking so much from the bass that the picture goes fuzzy. It adds to the intensity of the set.
All of Current Value's songs are loaded with bass, my favorite part about his music.
