Le contraste entre le groupe de heavy metal Gojira et la belle voix de la chanteuse d’opéra Viotti interprétant « Ah, ça ira » était incroyable ! I just learned the design of the logo of the Paris Olympics features “Marianne” incorporated into the torch flame.
Oh yes! I haven't noticed before. And the mascot is also in relation with Marianne, it's a phrygian cap. Its name is Phryge which sounds almost like fridge :) I also loved that part, the Marseillaise was also beautifully sung and Céline Dion was great.
1: we mainly use ça va? Tu vas bien? no need to know more, perhaps la forme and quoi de neuf? but we never use the others... Je pars= je m'en vais, je me casse, je me tire are the one we use the most (the two last being slangs); ça me saoule, ça me fait chier, ça me casse les couilles (the two last ones are vulgar but you hear them much more often! especially ça me fait chier XD I'd not recommend you to say it tho, might sound kinda uneducated, saoule is perfect)
