very good!, I like to see the happiness in practice, Sensei Erard smiles when is executing aikido techniques, i like it. Yo siempre sonrio cuando estoy en el tatami, es bueno ver que nos hace felices practicar. Regards from Mexico!
Merci!
Incredible Work, Really Powerfull and still Fluid. Some things seemed really direct - it's not to far fatched to assume that there is some daito-ryu shining through here and there, isnt it ?
Thanks! That's something I was quite self-conscious about actually. In this particular context of a participation as part of the International Aikido Federation, I really tried to stick to mainstream Aikido even though I suppose that it's unavoidable that some other things can get through.
@@guillaumeerard I'm sorry if my comments where rather blunt. I sadly havn't practiced in month, maybe even longer at this point. And I believe I've never seen you practice before. If I hadn't known that you also practice Daito-ryu It wouldn't have came to mind seeing your fantastic demo. It sometimes feels more direct, but also realy natural, that you don'T stick 100% to the form but more so react to Uke really well. Its enjoyable to watch and reminded me a lot of my first Sensei who himself trained much with Philippe Gouttard. And again, thank you for your great Budo coverage!
No problem at all, I didn't think that your comment was in any way blunt :) The opposite in fact, because that' was something I thought about myself before stepping on the tatami. Full disclosure, you can actually see me laugh at the end of the last technique, because I was about to lock Mihaly in a typical Daito-ryu manner, but refrained from doing it at the last moment, thinking that it may not have been appropriate! Sometimes, I regret not going through with it though :D More generally, I think that the way we practice should be the product of choices, not limitations. Therefore, even though I have moved away from some ways of doing things, I sometimes force myself to practice in those ways, just to make sure that I am still able to do them, and so as not to become too tunnel-visioned. In a context like this demo, it also becomes quite handy because it makes it easier to deliver according to the requirements under those particular circumstances.
The funny thing is, most folks see the footwork/throwing techniques and think Aikido is fancy/flashy useless movements/techniques when in fact, it's just all common sense. (Don't wanna get hit by a car, move outta the way).

Thank you! :)
Fluid, elegant, and graceful. Respect 🙏🏾.
Thank you for posting. I miss trainning aikido.
Me too!! :D
Way to go Gui!!! Fluid as water, as always!
Thank you my friend!
Très belle démonstration pleine d'énergie !

Très belle démonstration!
Merci! :)
Good stuff. I enjoyed it.
Glad to hear it!
Merci .)
I have to admitt, that I'm somehow shocked. Your technique seems incredibly good to me, but your kindness I can't see; if it weren't for your smile.

Very pretty.
