@@jarvisstark9563 that file contains the Jan security patch, Feb patch isn't out yet. Not sure why battery draining is still there in your case. Check the apps which are running in the background through mobile manager. Might be due to an app.
@@OnceUponATechie thnx bro...i havent installed any such app also the adaptive battery option does not detect any battery draing app...infact during android 9 i used to get screen on time of 8-9 hrs with just the internet onn amd two sim operating...bt now i get around 4 hrs with only active internet..also i have felt heating as well without me playing any game...also about the patch i did feel that it resembled the jan patch code but thought may be since launched in feb so may be this is the patch that u had mentioned in ur video which had resolved all the issues that were there from previous apps..
@@aayushrijal9077 Play around with the automatic brightness setting now and then. It doesnt need to be at 100% all the time and the newer android versions that it has learns what brightness you like. I can make a full charge last all day with medium to heavy usage.

SD 845 surely a great processor but current generation mid range processor's benchmark scores are of same range or even better. Of late my 5Z is over heating while charging. Nice review though, it made me subscribe your channel...!

Don't buy it. Have been using it for a year and a lot of issues have shown up. 1st being the camera doesn't work. It blurs far off pictures. 2nd there is the network issue where the network doesn't show. 3rd the service center doesn't provide good services and the replacement prices are higher. 4th there is no relock bootloader firmware once you unlock it. Additionally the asus company doesn't care that many customers have complained about issues and they still have not replied. I'd rather go for brands that provides good services and helps solve customers problems.
Sometimes it happens due to an app. What you can do is use your phone in safe mode for an hour or 2 to detect whether if it is happening due to an app or problem with the phone itself.
Never used the Accubattery app, but interesting! Let me download it and I'll let you know. And yeah the battery capacity deteriorates as we charge it again and again.

1) 845 is still better than 730 2) not sure about this, let me check and get back to you on this. 3) it takes around 70-80 minutes from 0 to 100, and it charges faster in the beginning(till 50 60% charge) And signal reception etc is good as I have mentioned in the video. And thank you!

Now the 1st step might sound silly, but powering off your phone for 30 seconds and switching back on fixes this issue usually. If you have done it already then it can be due to a recent app you installed which is running in the background or you changed some background settings for the app. This can also be due to an app installed outside from the play store which is not stable or malicious, now remember, this type of app might not be visible to you in the app drawer, so you need to go into settings-apps and see all apps and search it one by one. But if it's still not fixed then data wipe will most probably fix it. P.S. - all these steps will help ONLY if you suddenly started experiencing a battery drain issue, a gradual battery drain is common for the phones(like I am after 2 years of use). Hope this helps!

No problem with gaming, no heating, lag or battery drain issue. I don't have any issues with respect to connectivity but many people are. I never went to the service centre so not sure about the after-sales services. And lastly not a good phone for long term usage because it is already 2 years old flagship. So I won't recommend you to go with this one since you are planning to use it for a long term. And you can watch the whole video if you skipped some parts as I went into detail about this phone (hardware and software both!). I have searched for camera comparison between poco x2 and Zenfone 5z,but as such there are no practical comparison between em, can u tell how the main sensor differs in performance and does 5z have any edge on image optimisation over poco x2.
I think only Asus guys would be able to do it since they have all the necessary firmware/software to do it. But there is just 1% chance that this might work. Here it goes - Switch of your phone. Now hold the power button and volume down button, as soon as you see the logo/the bootloader unlocked warning release the power button but don't release the volume down button. Now you'll see a black screen with blue and yellow text on it. In this mode, the touch screen won't work so volume up and down will work for maneuver and power button for select. So go to factory reset and select it and go through all the prompts after that. Now 2 things can happen, 1, your phone will go to Android 8 with which it was released (which seems unlikely) and data wiped, or 2, your phone will be on the same Android update but all the data will get wiped. Either way, your data will be wiped, so if I were you, I would definitely give it a shot.

My 5Z is almost 3 years old, so my battery is already in bad shape as I have to charge it twice now. It's really difficult to say if they fixed the battery issue or not.

The permanent solution is to visit the Asus service center. A lot of people faced this issue, so service guys reinstalled the firmware and the issued got fixed. Sadly, you have to wait because of the lockdown.

And update came in last week of Feb and after that the bugs are fixed for the phone. As I have mentioned in the video I am not facing after the update. And the updates are necessary because they contain security patches and Android 10 gives you more control over your location and privacy. But 3 to 4 years seems like too much!

Hi, Thanks for your video. I have been using this phone for almost 1 and a half years and had no problem as such until recently ( three days ago) all of a sudden it got completely shut down while watching a music video on youtube. Before the shutdown, I saw it was 71% charged. Again I put it for charging but charging also stopped. Nothing works, the screen is blacked out. Due to lockdown, I couldn't take it to ASUS service station so I took it to the normal mobile repairing shop just to check the problem and after checking it they said, the IC is gone and needs replacement and it will cost 3000-5000 without any guarantee/ warranty. Pls suggest what to do? its a great phone and I don't want to lose it, at the same time I can't wait for so long to get it repaired by the ASUS service station. Never thought all of a sudden something will happen with this phone.
That's unfortunate, this thing happened with my HTC One S. Well, I am not an expert, but it looks like we will be getting some relaxation after 17th May, so the service centres might become operational. Here's the Asus customer care number - 18002090365 That being said, if a local shop is charging so much for the repair then I am pretty sure Asus will charge even more and I don't think paying so much is sensible. If you trust the local shop then let them repair.
Brother I'm using this phone since 2018 as well...and the phone was working like charm. However since last update that I did in first last week of February.....my phone started giving Sim card not installed issue.. Initially I was getting that pop up....but gradually the frequency of that pop up increased and the phone was not getting the network at all along with this the other issue was that In settings>storage the 'Other Apps' storage kept on increasing and occupied the entire storage capacity. I did factory reset 4 to 5 times but still the Sim card Issue was not resolved...then I took it to Asus Service center....they flashed and downgraded the software to Android 9 and asked me not to upgrade the system. I was ok..and using it since last 5 days....first two days went smooth then there was the same issue for next 2 days...and now since yesterday its working fine again. I dont understand this behaviour of my Asus 5z.....is it a software bug or its something with the hardware? Really worried :/
It's most probably a software bug because a lot of people faced this issue with the 2nd last update as I mentioned it in the video. But I think you should go again to the service centre for the fix and tell them the whole thing, that's the only solution I can think of. And it's really odd that some people are facing the issue and some are not!

I am using 5z 2yr now i have no problem with the network ans signel reception & it takes up to 1hr from 0 to 100%.

Go for Redmi Note 8 Pro then. One downside is it shows ads and you can't turn them off. Maybe it's only me who complaint so much about it.

I won't recommend you this phone as you are not going to do any heavy gaming. You can find other budget 2020 phones at this price range.

Bottom speaker sometime works, sometimes not. Is this bug?
It seems like water or dust went into the speakers. Or maybe some internal problem, not seems like a bug.

@Neeraj Bisht yeah you should go to the service centre if it's under warranty. They will only be able tell you about the charges, try to get it fixed for free from them.

1) Is it good for gaming?

No problem with gaming, no heating, lag or battery drain issue. I don't have any issues with respect to connectivity but many people are. I never went to the service centre so not sure about the after-sales services. And lastly not a good phone for long term usage because it is already 2 years old flagship.
So I won't recommend you to go with this one since you are planning to use it for a long term. And you can watch the whole video if you skipped some parts as I went into detail about this phone (hardware and software both!).

@@rockstyle2590 It is amazing!!! Just remember to change your settings to not use data when the phone is locked. Otherwise the battery goes quickly. The setting is easy to find.

I have searched for camera comparison between poco x2 and Zenfone 5z,but as such there are no practical comparison between em, can u tell how the main sensor differs in performance and does 5z have any edge on image optimisation over poco x2.

I think only Asus guys would be able to do it since they have all the necessary firmware/software to do it. But there is just 1% chance that this might work. Here it goes -
Switch of your phone. Now hold the power button and volume down button, as soon as you see the logo/the bootloader unlocked warning release the power button but don't release the volume down button. Now you'll see a black screen with blue and yellow text on it. In this mode, the touch screen won't work so volume up and down will work for maneuver and power button for select. So go to factory reset and select it and go through all the prompts after that. Now 2 things can happen, 1, your phone will go to Android 8 with which it was released (which seems unlikely) and data wiped, or 2, your phone will be on the same Android update but all the data will get wiped.
Either way, your data will be wiped, so if I were you, I would definitely give it a shot.

Will it receive security updates for another year , should I consider purchasing this for 11k ,as my priority is high performance and little bit of video recording.
It received a security update couple of weeks ago, but I don't think it's going to for a whole year. Performance is still good, and I shoot my videos with this phone only. Are you getting a 2nd hand phone? Because flipkart is officially selling it which is showing out of stock.

My 5Z is almost 3 years old, so my battery is already in bad shape as I have to charge it twice now. It's really difficult to say if they fixed the battery issue or not.

The permanent solution is to visit the Asus service center. A lot of people faced this issue, so service guys reinstalled the firmware and the issued got fixed. Sadly, you have to wait because of the lockdown.

And update came in last week of Feb and after that the bugs are fixed for the phone. As I have mentioned in the video I am not facing after the update. And the updates are necessary because they contain security patches and Android 10 gives you more control over your location and privacy. But 3 to 4 years seems like too much!

I sold my zenfone 5z at rs 13000 5 months ago, and just before lockdown buy black shark 2 at rs 18499. miss the headphone jack.
Yeah, but we need to move on now because headphone jack will not make a comeback. And I am pretty 2021 will be the year when budget smartphones will not include the jack.
Hi, Thanks for your video. I have been using this phone for almost 1 and a half years and had no problem as such until recently ( three days ago) all of a sudden it got completely shut down while watching a music video on youtube. Before the shutdown, I saw it was 71% charged. Again I put it for charging but charging also stopped. Nothing works, the screen is blacked out. Due to lockdown, I couldn't take it to ASUS service station so I took it to the normal mobile repairing shop just to check the problem and after checking it they said, the IC is gone and needs replacement and it will cost 3000-5000 without any guarantee/ warranty. Pls suggest what to do? its a great phone and I don't want to lose it, at the same time I can't wait for so long to get it repaired by the ASUS service station. Never thought all of a sudden something will happen with this phone.
That's unfortunate, this thing happened with my HTC One S. Well, I am not an expert, but it looks like we will be getting some relaxation after 17th May, so the service centres might become operational. Here's the Asus customer care number - 18002090365
That being said, if a local shop is charging so much for the repair then I am pretty sure Asus will charge even more and I don't think paying so much is sensible. If you trust the local shop then let them repair.
Brother I'm using this phone since 2018 as well...and the phone was working like charm.
However since last update that I did in first last week of February.....my phone started giving Sim card not installed issue.. Initially I was getting that pop up....but gradually the frequency of that pop up increased and the phone was not getting the network at all along with this the other issue was that In settings>storage the 'Other Apps' storage kept on increasing and occupied the entire storage capacity.
I did factory reset 4 to 5 times but still the Sim card Issue was not resolved...then I took it to Asus Service center....they flashed and downgraded the software to Android 9 and asked me not to upgrade the system.
I was ok..and using it since last 5 days....first two days went smooth then there was the same issue for next 2 days...and now since yesterday its working fine again.
I dont understand this behaviour of my Asus 5z.....is it a software bug or its something with the hardware?

It's most probably a software bug because a lot of people faced this issue with the 2nd last update as I mentioned it in the video. But I think you should go again to the service centre for the fix and tell them the whole thing, that's the only solution I can think of. And it's really odd that some people are facing the issue and some are not!
