Thank you for this video! There were a couple in there that I've not heard of before and sound really interesting so they're going on my list! Recently I'm finding that the middle of my book isn't paced quite right so I'm trying out different structure styles to see if something helps keep the tension and interest. Thanks again!
No problem!!! U should check out Liselle Samburys newest video - she breaks down the “fun and games” section since it can sometimes be very long/vague lol. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/2PajCAira3I/v-deo.html
@@LeahRummel Yess Ive seen that one too and it made me think like ohhhhh maybe that's why my middle isn't paced right! So I'm going on a structure spree!
I have found Save the Cat really useful too 😊 I've thought about reading On Writing! Steven King's process is very different from mine, but I love seeing other writers' stories as well. Bird by Bird sounds like one I would really like too.
Thanks for this video! I've read (and loved) Save the Cat and Anatomy of Story. It's been a minute since I finished Anatomy, though, and I think a reread might help with the revisions I'm doing now. I've tried reading On Writing and Bird by Bird two or three times and I can never get through them 😂 I don't know why since they're both well written (from what I've read). I need to give them another try, haha!
Sometimes it’s just like that 😆 ive been doing the same with The hero’s journey for a while now so I feel lol And yeah rereading bits and pieces of those two have really helped me on my revisions! (STC is literally open next to me right now as I work lol)
Do you have any writing book recommendations? Let me know! Thank you for watching :)
Steering The Craft by Ursula K. Le Guin

Stephen King has a different process to me too but it was cool learning about it! I definitely recommend bird by bird, I really enjoyed it 😊
