It's not overshadowed by Rise. Rise will always be considered the third or fourth best series amongst the fan base but 2003 is definitely overshadowed these days by the 2012 series!

Well, amphibious just means something that can move through and live on land and water, while amphibians are animals like frogs, toads and salamanders. Turtles are reptiles that live an amphibious lifestyle.
Good Genes arc when Don underwent a second mutation that made him a feral turtle with basically an alligator head. Mikey wanting to be nice tried to give him food, Don grabbed his leg and tried to eat it instead.

Can't remember the episode exactly but a granny and grandad was about to get robbed, or worse(one of the two) so the turtles took them somewhere safe. Mikey and Donnie took the places of them so when the bad guys broke in, they could kick their asses, but they were both playing the roles of the old people. Mikey was the granny so he kept calling Donnie 'husband'.
