I used to think that ladder launching, silent boarding and any other glitch is extremely unfair and should be bannable, but with time I saw that Rare is completely incapable of fixing them, while also actively working towards babifying PVP and ultimately the entire game for new players. And since nobody seems to share that ideology of mine I just completely stopped caring, and I will use anything to my advantage so long as it doesn't put my account at risk. I'm also ok with people using FOV now because Rare is intentionally choosing to not add it for no good reason despite what they're saying, even though I don't use it.

I really do not understand the mindset behind "exploiting == hacking". Rare has done nothing to remove loads of known exploits for 5 years now. How is it Theb's fault that they exist and can be used? It's not like he needs some external client or scripts to pull it off. You just grab and ungrab the ladder at a funny angle and jump. If Rare are so against ladder launching, why haven't they put an ounce of effort into removing it? If a 4 man crew is frightened of and running away from your sloop, why not use the tools available to catch up to them? If anything, I think exploits like these are what create the skill gap within SOT. In the video, the galleon crew happily quickswapped throughout the fight. That's also an exploit. Why is that ok but ladder launching is not? By their logic, they also cheated. This whole mindset is so immature and just an excuse to disguise how shit they are at the game. The temper tantrum at 34:02 is very indicative of this. If you refuse to learn the game's mechanics and quirks, then expect to get washed by crews that have. Blame Rare, not Theb.

They aren’t cheats, they are bugs rare absolutely refuses to fix . They have been in this game for 5 fucking years, he isn’t a bad guy. He does it to be funny.
