Today, after many attempts, I found out if you use a trailer, that you have changed the capacity in, it will not unload. Just a quick heads up for anyone. You can also play around with the pathway in the field, in the advanced settings. That is under the gear icon.
farmers sometimes actually use a bigger grain cart as a temporary storage point so it is actually like how you did in the video. its called a mother bin
Thank you for great tutorial. Came here after realizing that in the newest version I have troubles with the overloading from combine. I'm playing "in Europe" and using combine and tractor with trailer. Works flawlessly.
This is actually a very good video! It's good that you point out the short comings of CP. However, I think the Farm Sim application also has a lot of glitches in it as well. For example, when you buy a new field, you should save the game manually, exit the map and come back in so the application can re-read all the variables. It seems to help a lot. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work! :)
Completely agree that the game itself has it's share of issues. And while CP does have short comings it's one of my favorite mods. Probably wouldn't be playing Farm Sim still if it didn't exist. :)
Hi, great video with a lot of information. I was wondering.... at the 3:13 mark in the video you mention you were going to discuss how to get vehicles back on track after an issue arises. In my case I had to exit the game and when I got back into the game the vehicles were completely stopped. Telling the harvester to begin at the nearest waypoint did nothing as it ran all over the field and attempted to harvest crops that weren't there anymore. The collection vehicle did the same thing. Is there a way to have a course continue from where it left off? Thanks
You've probably figured this out by now, but you drive up to where you stopped, then on the courseplay controls screen, you change the "start driving at" to "next closest waypoint" and hit "drive" and off it goes.
I use course play but still have no idea how to maximize it. I would love to see you do a tutorial series on Course play at some point. Excellent video
I haven't tested it that way... I think with courseplay the harvester has to be also using a Courseplay course as it "calls" for the harvester. Now I'll have to try it... :)
@@lukegill9970 Interesting I'll try it. In 17 it would work with a normal worker so when I was getting near full I would just hit H and let courseplay graincart come unload and then take back over. Field mode is a game changer for courseplay. I had been wishing for past couple years for it. I just can't get the tractors/auger wagons to work right. Combines and semis hauling away work 100%. But it's the cheap labors in the tractors that screw things up.
For the record, the second grain cart that you positioned as a buffer would be referred to as a "motherbin," which for some reason is particularly common practice in Australia. Motherbin mods for FS19 exist but they're rare, not only because of the semi-obscure reference but also because of how truly huge a motherbin can be (the larger, the better) which often creates the need for articulated and independent suspension AND steering on multiple bogies of axles (otherwise the equipment would be immovable between fields, especially if moved with any content within them -- subject to the towing capabilities of the power unit, of course.) Articulating independent suspension linkages and gradient-opposed steering for multiple axle sets (you can have anywhere from 3-7 axles *at each end of the bin*) REALLY makes those entities a bitch to program and debug from a modding perspective.
My recording PC is pretty fast (i9-9900X X-Series 10 core, 4.4ghz). I was reporting times from testing on my old PC which is more middle of the road and closer to what the average player would likely see. I guess I should have stated it differently that Courseplay seems setup that it won't try for more than ~20 seconds before trying a less restrictive search so the lag spike should never last more than 20 seconds. :)
This tutorial by far is the best explanation of how to use a grain cart to unload a combine in the field! However, I can't get the auger wagon to automatically unload when it gets to it's unload point. What am I missing??

How do I get multiple semis to drive from field to grain bin... every time I try the second truck doesn’t stop and just rams into the first... I thought it was because it was a mod issue but even the in game one doesn’t work...
The vehicle convoy setting should be turned on in both combines to work. It just stops second vehicle if it's too close to another one. It also works with e.g. baling (But for 2 combines you would need 2 balers).
Me and my friend are running into a problem once we set the course for the chaser bin it drives to the stop point but won’t register the combines to go empty them

I remember when originally learning CoursePlay being taught that we had to multiply the working width by the number of implements (i.e. 2 implements x 13.5m = 27m). Is this not necessary anymore?
Something I only just found out - instead of using Tab to cycle between vehicles, or getting out and walking to one nearby, you can just use the mouse to click on any vehicle you can see, teleporting to it instantly. I don't know if this is vanilla, courseplay or autodrive - I've only just installed autodrive so maybe it's part of that mod?
I still can't get this to work, it's driving me nuts, about to give up on my farming save and go back to full forestry. My auger wagon tractors keep doing weird turning behaviour, they either can't find the combine in a relatively small field (compared to yours anyway) or they get snagged up and bump into the combine, or they drive through the crop (with avoid fruit on).
i can't click on that 3rd button. its all greyed out for me. am i doing something wrong? EDIT: i re downloaded course play and it turned out i had an old version. after downloading the new one it works fine
Thank you for doing this. I have recently started using multiple tools and found this quite helpful. Earlier this year I had been trying to use courseplay as I had in the past to unload the combines and take it to the silo. Unfortunately I found the every time I did this it crashed the game. So then I started using auto drive for this which generally works pretty well but like any of these mods sometimes has problems. The other thing I have found with courseplay for Farming Simulator 19 when it is updated it only seems to show up about half of the time in my mods. So I have not been able to get all of the versions to work. Thanks again!
I love this video but I need some help! I can start the combines no problem but when it comes to the grain cart, I do not have the option 3 come up for my tractors with either my J&M or in game carts show up on course play. Anyone else have this problem and how do I fix it??
Make sure to get the most recent version of Courseplay. Option 3 was just added in that last couple months so while it shows in the UI it won't be functional until you update Courseplay.
Is there a way to disable straw swaths when running courseplay? I tried disabling them before generating a course but when i start running the course the workers always seem to enable them.
I'm trying to learn how to do this. your video is the best one I've seen so far. However, when I hook up to a grain cart, I don't get work mode 3. Only work mode 1, and 2. I am on the newest version of the mod. With that said, I was also not able to select the field center- Lands. any help would be amazing. Thanks.
In the advanced settings menu for courseplay there's 2 options for disabling right click ui (one on each of the 2 tabs available), can't remember which one fixes it but toggle those and it should disable it.
@@KederkFarms would you suggest a laptop or tower for running this game/map. Also what minimum requirements would you suggest to run this with course play? Love the whole channel and love the new music...
@@Gdogz6 Glad the change of music is being well received! I'm not as up on the current computer specs as I once was. While my use case is a bit different than the average game you can see the build I'm using here: www.amazon.com/shop/KederkFarms/
if, for example, you were running 2 harvesters and only wanted 2 physical headland passes, that would mean you could run both tools, 1 on each side of the course which is generated for a theoretical single headland pass and you would get TWO physical passes.......right?
As far as I remember, I believe you can directly copy even temporary courses off of different vehicles. Don't quote me, it's been too long since I've messed with courseplay. EDIT: I posted this comment literally just a minute before I saw that he went over that fact.
Is there a way to put courses into one folder. Like if u have five different courses for feild 3. One for plowing, one for planting, one for spraying and so on. Is there a way to put them under one folder or do we have to keep them all separate and scroll to find the one we want. More feilds i get the longer my list gets for courses. Great vids love the tutorial ones
Yes I think you can do that (you could in FS17 at least) I'll look at it next time I'm in game and see if I can remember to comment back here with some tips.
Yes, I find thats the best way to keep a handle on everything. A folder for each field and one for transport, farm to shop, selling produce and stuff like that.
You likely have an older version of Courseplay. Mode 3 (Overload mode) was added somewhat recently. I recommend downloading the most recent version from the link in the description.
Is anyone else having problems with the Grain cart not actually finding the Combine? It shows the Combine and I can select the Combine but it does not show it. Also it does not allow me to select Work mode 3. (Combine: NH CR.10, Grain cart, Karl farms Quadtrac with in-game Brent 1596)
I'm recording a tutorial to walk through all the options of Grain Transport mode which is what you would do to haul grain from your silo to a sell point (or any other dump trigger like another bin or to feed animals etc.) It should post later today.

I remember when originally learning CoursePlay being taught that we had to multiply the working width by the number of implements (i.e. 2 implements x 13.5m = 27m). Is this not necessary anymore?
I used the feature today and it’s no longer needed. Just left/right and courseplay does the work :)
I wondered, has autodrive gotten their overloader function working yet?
Last time I looked at it you could use it but it would only unload a stopped, full combine
So I'm sometimes having problems that if I put 3 tools on same field the 3 tool does not want to start at first point, can someone help me?
i can't click on that 3rd button. its all greyed out for me. am i doing something wrong?
EDIT: i re downloaded course play and it turned out i had an old version. after downloading the new one it works fine
Thank you for great tutorial.
Glad it helped!
what do you need to play this
I have version 6.09.00073 of course play and it still doesn’t give me the option for mode 3. How should I fix this? Or is there any way to fix this.
Glad you found it useful!
I miss the old course play, hopefully they add the other modes
I love this video but I need some help! I can start the combines no problem but when it comes to the grain cart, I do not have the option 3 come up for my tractors with either my J&M or in game carts show up on course play. Anyone else have this problem and how do I fix it??
Make sure to get the most recent version of Courseplay. Option 3 was just added in that last couple months so while it shows in the UI it won't be functional until you update Courseplay.
Is there a way to disable straw swaths when running courseplay? I tried disabling them before generating a course but when i start running the course the workers always seem to enable them.
You can go into courseplay settings and turn it off.
@@vincevendrasco839 thanks. I'm gonna try doing that later
What is this map ? I've never seen it
This is the Millennial Farmer Map by Mappers Paradise. It's available on the In-Game ModHub
Thanks.
I am also using all Base game equipment, on Ravenport.
Courseplay is a fantastically janky tool. Loved your explanation of it. And WHAT TO EXPECT.
Glad you liked it!
THANK YOU that helped so much!!!
Glad it helped!
Great video thank you
Very welcome
how did you delete the mouse button to activate courseplay
In the advanced settings menu for courseplay there's 2 options for disabling right click ui (one on each of the 2 tabs available), can't remember which one fixes it but toggle those and it should disable it.
@@KederkFarms thank you
Have you ever tried sugarcane harvest with coursplay. I'm not getting any luck with it.
Love!!! Awesome!!!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
As a long time PC gamer I always recommend a desktop with as big of a graphics card / CPU as you can justify. For gaming I generally recommend faster processor speed over more cores.
Ok thanks i never played fs17 i just got fs19 this summer so still learning
Yes, I find thats the best way to keep a handle on everything. A folder for each field and one for transport, farm to shop, selling produce and stuff like that.
@@bulwinkle is there any videos om how to do that do u know
@@BrianP277 I have no idea, it is something that I worked out myself. I'm not near my PC so I can't walk you through it.
Great video 👍
Thanks 👍
My overload button is greyed out? whats wrong with mine?
You likely have an older version of Courseplay. Mode 3 (Overload mode) was added somewhat recently. I recommend downloading the most recent version from the link in the description.
Is anyone else having problems with the Grain cart not actually finding the Combine? It shows the Combine and I can select the Combine but it does not show it. Also it does not allow me to select Work mode 3. (Combine: NH CR.10, Grain cart, Karl farms Quadtrac with in-game Brent 1596)
Hi can u please do a tutorial for taking grain out ur own silo and to a sell point
I'm recording a tutorial to walk through all the options of Grain Transport mode which is what you would do to haul grain from your silo to a sell point (or any other dump trigger like another bin or to feed animals etc.) It should post later today.
