Wonderful product overview - you guys hit all the points. We are thrilled to have Charterhouse Aquatics offing the Random F;ow Generator Nozzle - the only random flow device with no moving parts!
Nice review guys, looks like it’s worth getting one fitted. What size do I need for a Aqua One aquareef 400? Really don’t want to be sending it back and forth due to not being sure on size.
Thanks Spencer Beresford If your Aqua Reef has the 3/4 locline then a 3/4 RFG should push right on! Some of the after market locline can be a tighter/looser fit but def worth trying first
Charterhouse TV thanks, I’ll order one. Fingers crossed it will fit as it’s the original return pipe and not aftermarket stuff. Appreciated, and I’ll let you know if it fitted.
great video. this may be just what i need. i have a 5 gallon marineland portrait tank. i need a lot of gentle movement throughout the tank. i understand VCA makes a 1/4" rfg. would that work with the pump that comes with it? should i get one or 2?
This ultimate upgrade kit would be ideal - charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator/vivid-creative-red-sea-reefer-ultimate-return-line-upgrade
Hi renegade4241, You would need to use the 25mm to 3/4 inch locline slip adapter. charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator/red-sea-reefer-return-nozzle-to-loc-line-adapter-25mm-slip-fit-to-3-4in
We do sell an EA bundle which would be ideal for you. Check it out - charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator/evolution-aqua-random-flow-generator-bundle
We have just been informed that some of the Reef Pros have non-official locline. If this is the case you will need a Locline branded NPTC as well - charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/locline/locline-black-hose-segment-half-inch
if you Red Sea MAX system has a sump, then it has the same 25mm return line size as the REFFER systems, which means you can use either of the Ultimate Return Line Upgrade Kits. If you want to attach to the circulation nozzles along the back wall, then you'll want to take a look a the 16mm to 1/2in RFG adapter aliong with a single 1/2in RFG nozzle. It's a great solution for that line of tanks.
The key benefits are that a RFG can help to create a more natural water movement within your aquarium without any electric or mechanical parts. This helps lift and suspend detritus and other debris so your filtration can remove them. Increased and random flow also allows you to circulate water without damaging corals and plants or creating a sand storm within your aquarium.
I've recently purchased the ea reefpro 1200 off you guys. But still haven't had the chance to do any of the plumbing yet. Which attachment will I need? Thank you.
We have just updated the link so this should be working now. What you need is one of the reefer adaptors(depending on what size generator you want)plus the RFG charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator
For a single nozzle solution, you'll want to take a look at the Red Sea Reefer, Slip-Fit-Drop adapter. This pairs up directly with a single 1/2in RFG nozzles. Or, you can go with the 25mm to 3/4in Red Sea Reefer Return line to Loc-line adapter and pair that with some 3/4in loc-line and a single 3/4in RFG nozzle.
Yes now the link is working. Thank you for the replay. Do I need to drop it down with the specific adpater? Do you think it will suck air with the normal adapter?
Hi Gary, the ultimate upgrade kit would be the perfect choice. charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator/vivid-creative-red-sea-reefer-ultimate-return-line-upgrade
hey, I would be interested on putting one these on my nano.. its a TMC REEF HAB 50.. had a look on the web site but cant seem to figure out what id need.. ideally id like to convert with a Y section and have a double outlet.. any help would be great cheers.
Just wondering if yall would know what size might fit a fluval fx4? I would like to try these on it but not sure what size might fit, thanks in advance. Great video keep up the good work!
@benjamin Aranjon, I have just had a look for you and unfortunately we dont have a RFG that would fit onto the FX4 i am afraid.Glad you are enjoying the content!
Hi Mark Fisher, yes you can you will need one of these charterhouse-aquatics.com/shop/aquatics/fittings/random-flow-generator/red-sea-max-flow-nozzle-to-loc-line-adapter-16mm-slip-fit-to-1-2in-loc-line. And a half inch random flow nozzle 👍
Thanks David, these aquariums are now discontinued but if memory serves me right I think they used 1/2 inch locline. Half inch RFG should do the job but may be best to measure first
The half inch will fit directly on mars sanidad. I am afraid there is not the option to split and have two unless you were to buy a locline half inch splitter, that would likely be too large for the aquarium and flow coming from the pump. The single RFG seems to work well
I have AFM Marine Oceanlife Overflow Set on my aquarium and was looking at your random flow generator nozzles, do you have any idea if any of them fit on the oceanlife return?
Hey guys, great info, I am setting my 90 gallon tank back up, and I run the line loc system with the splitter but it has the little vent hole or bleeder hole at the y junction part that is above the water line but below the tank lid. It's always worked fine before and wants the tank balanced out it would stop blowing water out of the hole. but when I started the pump last night I cant get it to stop spraying water out of the vent hole. I am a newbie when it come to tank set up, Any suggestions would be appreciated
Hi I got fluval 240 tank with original 306 filter and inlet and outlet that it comes with built-in bulk head. can you get one on the fixing to fit the outlet on my tank
Hi just bought random flow generater for my fluval evo but tried and tried to push it on but can’t get it on and don’t want to break out any ideas thanks
It might be worth removing the locline section from the back panel Dawn. You can then clip the RFG in place while off the aquarium and add back once connected
Hi I have the EA reefer 900 pro s. which has a single return flow i would like to change it to the double if possible, do you know which parts /sizes i need to do this please. thanks

Another quality video. Nice to see a uk shop doing reviews on their products. Keep them coming.
Another top quality video well done guys
I have one of these on my Biocube 29. It does a great job. The higher the flow, the more random.
Awesome video guys!
