One of my favorite songs of all time and Hall and Oates do the best cover.
Hall and Oates is the most successful duo in history so many hits❤
Daryl Hall was great in his younger years, but he became absolutely iconic when he decided to broadcast "Live From Daryl's House"! This show has presented some of the absolute best jam sessions you could ever hope to imagine with so many greats in today's music arena. In each episode, the guests usually lend their chops to one or two of Daryl Hall's songs, but the rest of the show has Daryl's amazing musicians bringing out and showcasing the best from their guest performer's iconic songs. For any fan of music, there is nothing better than this show!!
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Definitely he's great at Daryls House you must listen to him there
That was wild. Daryl Hall became the person in the song, literally. Great, great performance!
WOW! Great reaction, you two. I don't think I have seen Dominika ever get that excited about a song. And I also get the impression she very much wanted to be Mrs. Jones. Come on, admit it;)
One reactor compared him to a pastor and his singing to gospel. And, well, it makes sense;) Cause Dominka raised her arms like the people in a Baptist Chruch when they cry: "Can I get a witness"?
I will make sure to send more Hall and Oates requests your way.
Thanks a lot! This was such an experience! Absolutely stunning performance 😍 Love from Romania 💚
@@MerchantOfAlba As someone suggested in the comments and Dominika alluded to, it might be a good idea to also check out the original. I thought it was also great. Both unique versions. Blue-eyed and black-eyed soul so to speak.
Great song....fabulous reaction!
LOVE Billy Paul's version of this song - but, Daryl could sing THE PHONEBOOK and make it sound FANTASTIC!!! HUGS, YA'LL!!!
I like the guys but you have to listen to the original by Billy Paul .........a much better version ,in my opinion.
@@musashimiyamoto586 It works both ways............and because you like their version doesn't make it better than the original....have a nice day !
Absolutely! This is a bit over-done, for my liking..BP's is perfection! And I was a H&O fan before most even heard of them. That's how far back I go with them.
@@musashimiyamoto586 Stating my opinion. Don't like it, that's your problem.
@@musashimiyamoto586 It's ok. We all make mistakes. Apology accepted.
More Hall & Oates .... they are the goats when it comes to duos with 6 #1 hits.
absolutely smoking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . Danny in Mississippi
Please watch Daryl Hall and Cee Lo Green do Hall's song, "I can't go for that". Live. You can thank me later. ;)
Daryl Hall and, of all people, Barry Gibb ... when they sing some songs, it is very, very sexy. I truly understand how you are affected by it.
Daryl Hall doing his best Macaulay Culkin imitation
Check out Hall & Oates “She’s Gone”
Hay guys. I think you should try to get a hold of the original, by Billy Paul.
I have now seen it and it is indeed memorable. Take nothing away from H&O, though. Blue- and black-eyed sould together, marvellous!
Hall and Oates did their best work with the Todd Rundgren produced album 'War Babies' from 1974. They were interesting then - then they started doing elevator music like this.
elevator music like this??? You're just trying to provoke people, right? Pffft. This is one of the best R&B songs of all time and an iconic example of the Philadelphia Sound.
🤘🤘
like moose and squirrel
Got a suggestion girl you Josh Turner “Your Man” and Orleans “Still the one”👍
Please react to the Manhattans “kiss and say goodbye”
This is great, but Billy Paul version is the best in my opinion. Should check it out. 😅 They are very different. Hall and Oats made this their own. Billy's version is smoother.
MR.HALL can sing what a performance.....dive deeper into hall and oats not one bad song....
With all due respect to Daryl Hall, his antics at the end ruin this performance in my opinion; whereas Billy Paul's original is absolutely top shelf.
His antics? So when a black singer does a gospel like passionate performance it is ok? I think Darly Hall pulls something off that not many white performers were able to achieve. At least give him credit for that.
Are you nutz, did you see the audience go off when he went in all for it at the end. Now that’s pure emotion. I guess it wasn’t for you. But the rest of us !!!!
With all due respect? Is that meant ironically? If you are just here to nag, go somewhere else.
He said with respect to Daryl,he has his opinion but personally I loved it.
@@TomFurr-uc1hj Aha, so calling Daryl's performance "antics" speaks of respect, does it? Or is it that a white dude cannot be as soulful as a black guy? In my opinion Daryl has more than enough of that.
"Me and Mrs. Jones" was a #1 single originally performed by Billy Paul, recorded and released in 1972 on CBS Records' Philadelphia International imprint.
This is the first time I’ve heard Darrell Hall sing this song, and he is doing a fabulous job. I am enjoying it a lot. But I would like to recommend to our lovely Reactors that they check out Billy Paul‘s original version. They don’t need to react to it or make a video of it but I would like for them to hear the 1st recording. BP’s voice is wonderful, too. It has almost a velvet quality to it & he doesn’t use quite so many vocals runs in the song. Sometimes it’s just fun to hear where a song starts out and then where it goes with subsequent covers. 😊
Hi Guys, a great cover of a fabulous original by Billy Paul. Daryl Hall, will be 78, this October, his voice is holding up really well, great chops. Your reaction as ever, was spot on, try the original as well. Best wishes, Mark from London.
Great Song Originally done by Billy Paul..Big Hit for him.❤ Great cover from Hall & Oates.
Yes, you should check out the original done by Billy Paul. Hall and Oates definitely did this song justice, but I am partial to to the original done by Billy Paul. If you really like this song, and it’s obvious you do, then you should follow this up with a reaction to Billy Paul’s original.
This is absolutely 🔥🔥🔥.Darryl Hall is one of the greatest singers ever. Category is Philly Soul.Hard to be this is a cover by Billy Paul in 72. A phenomenal performance. He and John are one of the best duets ever.
Music at its best!!!!
Nice cover. The original is worth a listen. "Sara Smile' has to be my fav of many, many Hall & Oates tunes.
Biased to this one me and the Mrs are. Ty MOA ☘️ 🇺🇲
I like this one but you should listen to the original. Please.
Absolutely!
🇬🇧 My favourite Hall & Oates song is "You Make My Dreams Come True".
This is a really good cover of Billy Paul's #1 hit in 1972. You two should check it out, & compare them both. ❤🎼🎙️
They have so many great tunes
Do the original Me and Mrs Jones by Billy Paul
wow brought tears to my eyes darryl hall one of the greatest vocalist of our time
“Got a thiiiiing, going on…” 😁 naughty naughty ppl 😂👍🏼
🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰😙😙😙 That Songg!!
Excellent taste guys fan of Hall and Oats since their beginning, Sarah's Smile was a heck of a debut on the charts.
If you haven't yet, check out the the show Live from Daryl's House.
Check out Daryl Hall singing “I miss you”. You will love it.
May I suggest Chris Stapleton “it takes a woman”
They were great to bad they angry at each other
No one sexier than Daryl
a cheating song !
Still like the original much more..Something about the way Billy Paul does it that you just can't improve on.
Daryl Hall doesn't sing like BP, but neither the other way round.
Like 25. Daryl's got that blue-eyed soul. You will also like the original by Billy Paul that we heard on the radio. It won't take away from Daryl's performance. Both are great.
If you want to see Daryl Halls potential then check out "Do What You Want, Be What You Are". Some of the best male vocals ive ever heard.
The thing that makes this song kinda innocent even with the context is the line we meet in a coffee shop daily but they don't talkabout meeting in a hotel etc. I love this version and the original.
Used to see Billy Paul at Brown’s in Brooklyn back in da day…
Never wil EVER BE MUSIC like OUR OLDIES AGAIN its great we have 1.MEMORIES 2.OUR MUSIC OF OLD
Same story again...Good band, not one of their best songs and keep playing obscure tunes
It is NOT their song, but a cover of Billy Paul. And what are you on about, anyway?
Man Chill Out !
Love them!! I was lucky enough to see them years ago when they were still a duo. They're amazing live! Daryl Hall has a show where he invites different musicians to jam with him and his house band. They cover songs from both artists. Live from Daryl's House. You should check out their cover of I Can't Go for That ft Ceelo Green.
Live from Daryl's House "I Can't Go for That" w/ Ceelo Green is addictive! A funky, seemingly effortless performance by Daryl, Ceelo and the "house" band. I highly second this suggestion.
