Ode to the Unknown Biker
I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the side-walk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall.
I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant. But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.
I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But, you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children. But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.
I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos. But, you didn't see me, cry as my children were born and have their names written over and in my heart.
I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family.
I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.
I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you, race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.
I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But, you didn't see me, leave the road.
I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.
I saw you, go home to your family. But, you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off.

I appreciate you, bro, but I believe "the appearance of evil" does not refer to attire but behavior. Attire is a cultural thing, and the God of the Bile (I believe you will agree with this point) is a God for all people in all nations from all cultures ... and this includes bikers. I bless you with this response and do not offer it to argue. I believe there are non-Christians reading these things and looking for what is truth. Bless you, brother!

and those issues aside, how does this look to the unbeliever who is looking at you as a christian for an example? What does this say to the world, that christians aren't really any different than any other people? That you don't have to make any radical changes to follow Christ? Please understand i am not condemning anyone, i am simply saying that insisting on and being proud of a biker image as a Christian simply isn't the most wise thing.
regardless of what people want to believe appearance means something. We are told to abstain from all appearance of evil. (1 Thess 5:22) In the old testament god even commanded Israel to not cut their beards as the heathen did (Lev 19:27). Like it or not, the biker look is associated with violence. I understand that doesn't necessarily mean everyone who is a biker is that way, but, for those who don't have that understanding you are casting before them a stumbling block.
of course you feel that way, you simplified the world, you decided to admit one simple answer for every problemes that happened and will happen, you described the world easly in some pages of a book, who wouldnt feel light and free after having done such a thing. God is just... easy. The death thing illustrate what i try to say, lot of people cant face death , god help them; in a same way of an anaesthesia , you dont feel pain anymore but the disease is still here.
Christ did not have a shirt saying "I am Jesus" in order to be persecuted he simply lived and taught what he believed in(God).Your character will make you the person you are by the process you walk through becoming Christ like,you don,t want to scare the Jesus out of people when forcefully preaching to them,remember you were once standing in the sinners shoes,peace unto you.
my spiritual evolution, that's what they all lose, they re stuck on a really really simple explanation on how the world function. Simple explanation for simple mind, "tell me it's true and i'll buy it" and it looks like the more you tell it the more they buy it. They should put some philosophy books into bedside tables , that could really help the world.

Awesome! The first time I came across Bikers for Christ was a couple of weeks ago at a Christian Film Fest in the Merrimack Vally. Mass. I never thought there were so many bikers out there for Christ! God Bless you all and thanks for posting the video! I want to join!!!!
thats why we do not fight, many of our riding groups absolutly ban drinking(we can't represent if we are under a influence like that, our purpuse is to spread love! what do you do to spread love?

I don't know if Jesus would have been a "biker", but I know He would have DEFINITELY hung out with them.
I guess we old schoolers understand the difference between a real biker (m.c. or independent) and a new yuppie or teenager rider. Over 70% of M.C. bikers have served in COMBAT DUTY, willing to lay down their life for YOU! RESPECT. And everyone that I know shows respect to residential neighborhoods - I think threeever has seen too many fake biker movies.

I love to ride and pray on the back country roads. Singing to Yeshua on my m/c is one of the best things in this fallen world.
I joke with my Saviour and tell Him that He and I are going to go riding a lot in the new heavens and new earth.

I have 2 Christian CDs out and I get a lot of flack for playing music in bar bands and drinking a cold beer on a hot day,Remember guys Jesus diddnt send the decipeles out and tell them to invite the saved people to dinner with Him, So while your sitting in church this sunday in your $800 suite Ill be at a jam session at a bar telling some1 in trouble how God saved my life
Jesus was free and bike clubs are not, I am an independent biker, that is true freedom. Jesus was a true independednt that people chose to follow. Jesus was a righteous amazing person, most of his followers are not so righteous.
