11 years....oh my god. I'd not realized that It is 11 years since i know this video. In the past, I had many times wish i have an amputated leg like you when i watch this video. Yes, it's a true. Losing leg was your hurt, but that time i feel having one leg is my ownself

Thank you for the demo; it very informative. I am from UK. Being a new amputee above knee, I had skin-irritation when using others, and now my prosthetics have given me the one you just shown us, for a trial. So far so good and never had bad skin reactions since, so they will embark on to develop a proper socket that fits the liner.
Many thanks again for sharing your experience.

Thanks for the review. I have been using a locking liner for the last 12 years and yesterday my prosthetist suggested trying a seal in liner. Getting measured up next week for my new socket! I was nervous about going with a different type of suspension but this liner mech clearly works v well for you.

Amazing Video i have been an Amputee for 17 years, & this is my first liner of any kind, & i have to say it has given me my life back. Everyday i walk better, & further then i have since i lost my leg. I would Highly recommend this liner to anyone, that is looking for comfort, Stability, & most importantly looking to get rid of straps, or test belts around your waist, for 17 years i had to wear bigger size jeans shorts, because of the belt, now i feel like the ole me again, Thanx Ice Ross.

Very informative and very easy to comprehend .. as a non-amputee, I can appreciate how much better this liner must be for you, Wes - and other amputees
    Thanks a lot

BTW very good video and as a BKA that uses the Iceross I agree with you assessment. I also have the same problems as Lizicles with the wear and tare of the cover and and silicone. Once that happens you are stuck. We need to invent a patch kit. Thanks again Wes... BKA Bill

btw, you can get the conical or pipe style for the 'old type'... I use the chimney pipe style and it works fine

There is a design problem. If the gasket does not match the circumference of the socket it will not stay sealed.

The lube is pretty much just rubbing alcohol. Same with shoe stretch. You can also use anti bacterial hand cleanser as well.

this one is the new model, better than old one bytheway i prefer wear my prosthesis without a dermo seal. i prefer it cause the sweat . my first prosthesis was in this way, and the margin of the dermo seal created me a lot of problems especially on the groin, how did you solve this problem?

I live up in Canada and each province has a different healh care system. I am in Alberta
and a few years back they came up with free health care. I have had 3 joint replacements . hip, knee, shoulder. so far and am under 50 years of age. I was wondering what was the cost of the limb that they gave you? Its interesting how fast they advance in this field. I have a TESS shoulder am the first person in alberta to get it. My surgeon had to go and learn who to do it then I got it works great.

I just started using Icecross liners and I'm wondering if you ever have problems with the grey knitted covering tearing to expose the silicone and then the silicone ripping as well. Also, what is your socket made out of? I've never seen that type (clear) before.

Hey brother I’m currently using just a regular silicone liner with a lanyard in a Revo-Fit socket and I hate it. I hate it so I’m changing next week to a Comfort fit socket by Hanger , not sure what suspension method I’m going with but up until this point every socket I’ve had and tried hasn’t worked and the common denominator on everyone of them has been that no matter what I do every socket spins on my residual limb and turns my foot inward so that it makes me walk bow legged. I’m almost to the point of giving up because no one seems to be able to help me, I’m also a left leg above knee traumatic amputee from a year and a half ago. I was wondering if you or anyone had any suggestions that could possibly help me. Thanks for any advice anyone could give me and keep the videos coming, they are extremely helpful!!!

Hey Wes, I am a BKA and also use the Iceross liner. Do you know of a way to purchase the liners?
Right now I have to order them by getting a script from a MD and then go to my prosthetist to get a the liner. Now my doctor does not remember writing a script and thinks that i should drive and hour to get a script from a specialist. Any suggestions that you or any other Amps may have would be appreciated. -BKA Bill

I had a traumatic AKA in May 1999. I ride a bicycle with a pin lock in liner and belt. You do not appear interest in active exercise. Try reading How Not To Die by Michael Greger MD.

Wes, is that seal at the bottom of the liner attached to the liner or a separate piece. Mine is a separate piece and I can not keep it straight.

    • @TheAmp4Life
      @TheAmp4Life  7 років тому

+Zadielee1 It is attached to the liner. I have tried one with a separate piece that could move up or down the liner with multi grip like rings on the liner meant to hold it in place. I believe the idea is to center the sealing ring between two of these grip like rings

You will have your lost leg back to you. Read please Isaiah 35:5,6.- Remember that the miracles performed by Jesus in the year 29-30 AC, were done to proved that in the future our lovely creator certainly will restored what Adam and Eve lost, yes, a perfect BODY and with the perspective to live for ever , here on the earth.- Psalms 37:10,11.- Isaiah 45:18 Revelation 21:4.- Thanks for the video.
