- Crossover event of the 90s!!! Chris Sheppard - whose own Club 102 on CHCH11 is often seen as an EC knock-off, appears on Electric Circus and brings the madness with him. Extra special thanks to Adam for sharing this amazing clip with us!
Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos. Please add to this evolving history, if you know more information pertaining to the clips, fondly remember them or have a modern thought all comments are welcome! Chris Sheppard was my childhood hero, and still is my hero today. He was the one that turned the dance scene upside down for Canada by bringing in all the European sounds and other sounds over the world for us. He was very knowledgeable on every artist that he played through the speakers. God bless you man!
Predicted the rise of EDM 20 years before it happened ! Chris is a legend, keep trippin' my friend where ever you are .
IMO sheppards last excellent album was the first Euphoria, the groove station were mainstream as hell
What a hambone
CAAAAARAYZEE!!!
The 90s was remarkable
Monica was a goddess.
Pirate radio ❤ outta the controls at the controls ❤
hey what ever happened to this guy? He had a very recognizable voice
He's completely disappeared from public life. I've heard he's living in Costa Rica now.
You know he wasn’t British, right?
@@BillLambert facts?????
Shep was the best. Love the sounds of Pirate Radio, even today.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@@jadzia42
@1:55 that stuff will damage all the equipment in that small studio.
Chris showed up on Some Greek Niteclub, as a special guest. He also got a Honorary doctorate from some University in Toronto. Dude is retired!
some university LOL try university of toronto, and he has 2 PhDs , he studied the effects of music on the brain.
Its so funny seeing George Lagogianes now, he looks good, but all that Greek food in the last 30 years must look even better.
Techno Trip 3 was the very very best!
yes it was and its a collectors item. Very expensive to purchase. luckily i have it along with sheppards entire collection up except for groove station series which was was way too mainstream and commercial
CHCH had an EC knockoff? Wild
I’m from Hamilton and ya, that IS wild! Lol!!
This can't be 1991. The Techno Trip came out in 1992.
@1:00 yeah man .. ever hear of it , it's called K-TEL.
Hey voice so unique and catchy
That was a nightmare.
I wonder if Chris is still crazy now a days.
When I tell my American friends about Canadian Dance music either it be a DJ, a Producer or some artist. They don't believe me when I tell them Canada has Dance Music. They think it all comes from USA and Europe.
Shep on the Flex!
CFNY ❤
I need that hat. Never wanted to wear a ballcap before. Maybe it comes as a tuque.
Where is this guy now?
Wikipedia confidently states: Sheppard retired from DJ'ing in the late 90's, but can now be found teaching on occasion at the University of Toronto. Sheppard claims he has a Ph.D in Molecular Science from the University of Toronto, and a Ph.D in Neuroscience from the Australian National University.
@@dtk404 holy shit???
LSD!
Ha ha ha, Becker was legit displeased.
I think that was ‘Monika’.
He still never gave a reason as to why why techno music has no soul… 🤷♂️
he was too high to come up with a proper response
@@akuma4u which, coincidentally, is the exact and proper response
