Yes, the brewery is Austin Beerworks (we love that place) and Pam's part was filmed at the AMAZING Turnstile Coffee, Beer and Spirits. Check them out, they are great.
Straight off the plane, head to Live Oak Brewing Co. Get anything, amazing beers. If you are staying downtown or close-ish to the airport, head over to Hold Out Brewing and enjoy their burgers. Then hit Independence Brewing and grab a Stash IPA. If you have more time, swing by Pinthouse Brewing and get the Jellyfish. A perfect half day.
i always tell people, don't come in July unless you are OK with the sweltering heat! Otherwise, definitely plan a trip and we'd be happy to help you plan out your brewery destinations!
Every time I go to Austin for SXSW I find more craft breweries, thx for highlighting the scene.
Our pleasure, check out Pam's site and Podcast to plan where to visit at the next SXSW which is March 10 - 19 this year.
My top picks for breweries right in the center of downtown: Hold Out Brewing, Central District and the newest, The Stay Put.
we have a growing local beer community in Canada, and they’re easy to get.
AWESOME please support your community. Craft brewers and distillers add a lot to a destination and its tourism.
Is that brewery Austin Beerworks? I love that place.

It’s a drag they can’t export, so I guess we have to plan a trip.
