As material I used masking tape, acrylic paint, brushes and a Catalyst paint comb.

I sometimes wish that I could climb into your head and get your thought processes as you paint. Sometimes I think I know where you are going with your painting, or what color you are going to choose, and boom, you do something completely different, haha! I have painted in acrylic the past 15 years, but mostly kind of a loose realism style. I want to do your style, but I just can't get my brain to go there yet, because it doesn't think abstract. But I'm going to try, for sure. Thanks for so many great videos and ideas!
I completely understand this sentiment. Even though on my channel quite a few of my pieces are 100% inspired by John, when I first started doing abstract, I had the mindset - "think about what I want to do, then figure out what would be the opposite of that, and then do the opposite" :)
Or just "go fast and break things" - then learn from what you did.

I feel like the tape you take off could be art in itself. What if you saved the pieces of tape from these projects and piece them together in some fashion. I bet it would be surprising how good it would look. Always amazing work you produce.
