CDO can be used within cygwin, which is a Unix-like environment for Windows.The pre-built cygwin binary needs the dependencies which are discussed in this video.

Thank you for the video! It is really very hard to install it using only documentation. However, it did not work for the first time. CDO started working only after I install other packages (libcrypto, udunits-devel, proj-devel). Maybe, other users might challenge this case too

I installed packages given on cdo web link and it worked for me. Also i installed udunit-devel and proj-devel pacakges. You can also check our blog

In my installation time there was no libproj13 so i marked libproj15.now in the command prompt i type "cdo -V" then it is showing
C:/cygwin64/bin/cdo.exe: error while loading shared libraries: cygproj-13.dll: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory......like this.what should i do?

Hi I got to minute 7:50 successfully but when i executed ldd ./cdo.exe i got the output Permission denied, i dont suppose you have a fix for this?

you are missing some library.
all dependencies (needed dlls) cna be installed via the cygwin package manager (setup_x64.exe I guess). install the packages mentioned at Win32 with it - then it should work.
The pre-built cygwin binary needs the following runtine dependencies:
gcc
gcc-gfortran
ssl + ssh
curl
zlib
netcdf-devel
udunits-devel
proj-devel
Note : Download cdo.exe file given in description link(code.mpimet.mpg.de/boards/1/topics/5087?page=1&r=5153).

Will this same step work for other Window OS? Like Windows 7 or 8? And where can i find cdo exe file for other windows OS?
as far as i know in windows 10 version Microsoft included an Ubuntu embedded Linux. Older versions needed an additional activation of the developer mode.

Every time I try open my netcdf file it gives me error "unsupported file type (library support not compiled) am using CDO in window run cygdrive
