This is probably my #1 game of all time. I’ve got the platinum on 3 different versions with easily over 1,000 hours played, 10/10 masterpiece for me.
The best game of all time and i have finished more than 1300 games across 7 generations of consoles.

I really love that there isn't a single character who is just the clear good guy. Even Geralt, the main character, can be cold and dismissive to some struggles after he looks at both sides of the conflict. "Evil comes in many forms. When it comes to a choice between two evils, I'd rather not choose."

This is my favorite game of all time, glad to see you enjoyed it so much. Really hope we get a platinum bonus episode with you doing the dlc. Hearts of stone has a fantastic story, and blood and wine is a superb addition the size of most normal games.
I'm fairly sure at this point there will be a Bonus episode, maybe two.

I had the exact same reaction when I got to Skellige. Hearing the Northern Irish lilt and the stunning scenery made me feel like I was in Ireland somewhere. Great video man, one of my favourite games of all time glad you enjoyed it!

I played "The Witcher 2" in a very weak PC a good few years ago, and his "cluncky" gameplay added with the lack of my experience in RPG games, made me say: "Well, maybe this is not for me". But i still had that curiosity about The Witcher 3, but not one strong enough to play the game. With your video posted, i didn't see a more proper time and situation to end this curiosity. You are always on point! Your channel is one of the best "accidental" things that the algorithm presented to me. Thank you for introducing and immersed me into this "Platinum World". Keep up with the good work Adam!

@@AdamMcDermott So, I'm replaying the entire game on PS5 now, just can't keep away from it. Still some irritating bugs in there, like shop menus not opening up or the npc pathing going awry, but to be expected with such a vast game.
It still looks so beautiful! I've been playing FF7 Rebirth recently and this looks better imo

My second platinum after Batman Telltale, really got me into trophy hunting. After 50+ platinums since then, this would be the one game I would do anything to platinum again for the first time. Great work

If you were ever curious how well you do making these videos;
The Witcher is a game I would never be interested in playing, for a lot of reasons. How long it is, the setting, the combat, etc. My friend lent me his copy of one of these books and I ended up skimming through after getting 2/3 of the way through it because it just stopped being interesting (if you're curious it was Last Wish, and the first third was pretty good. I liked all the side stories, I just didn't really care about Yennifer), and it is rare for me to start rushing through a book I'm reading. Despite how little I care about this series, your video was extremely well done and kept me glued, waiting to see what would happen next.

Great episode Adam! Easily one of, if not, the best stories in all of gaming. I remember when I played it, spent over 230 hours across 3months getting the game to 100%...the DLC was incredible. Was well worth it. Sad when I completed it, I was so immersed haha

that first ghoul fight on death march is the ultimate gut chuck. after that the difficulty is pretty smooth sailing. so glad to see you do my favorite game of all time!

What I love about your series is that when you started the videos were more about how to get platinums and your trials and tribulations. Now they seem to be more about your personal journey to get there and the ebbs and flows rather than the nuts and bolts. They have become almost contemplative. Every channel needs time to find their vibe, and for me, this is yours. Marvellous
That is a good observation. Less about the platinum, more about the journey.
Contemplative is an excellent word for it. I spend more time thinking about the game and have a slower pace than what is typical in a UA-cam video.

Would love an extended cut of this Platinum Journey. Just like to hear your thoughts on certain questlines (bloody baron etc) - Great episode Adam and glad you enjoyed the game.
I did initially have more of the Bloody Baron but it was slowing down things. Lot of me just watching conversations and picking dialogue options. Did make sure to include him a little bit in the montage of quests which also featured Keira Metz. He is an interesting character.
Yeah, ended up loving the game. Excited about diving into the DLCs in the coming years.

Awesome. I went back to this during peak lockdown to get my platinum and it was a blast. Hope to see some bonus episodes with the expansions. They’re worth it! My other lockdown favourite was Death Stranding, and look what’s teased at the end!

Great video. I’ve been attempting to Platinum the game on and off your a year, I find the depressing world comforting so I just play whenever I need an energy boost. Also fun to take it slow.
This makes me want to replay finally on PS5 and for the first time get the platinum. One of my favorite games ever but I only played once on PS4.

Thank you for this episode Adam. I beated The Witcher 3 two times already, one of my favorite game ever, and your video gave me the opportunity to experience this tremendous journey again. What a game ! I had goosepumps and almost tears to see some crucial scenes again and characters. The party with Triss especially was a wonder to do in both playthroughs. I have to disagree with you about Yennefer though : she is the most believable character I have ever seen in a video-game and I never choose Triss over her. What a woman ! Cheers and thank you. So cool that a piece of media has proper Irish accents. Felt like I was transported to Northern Ireland for a bit.
I took a break from Witcher 3 a month ago because I went a bit overboard with trying to do everything and racked up 100+ hours before finishing Act 1 in December and when I saw your video in my feed I opted to try to finish the main story in a week so I could watch the whole thing without worrying about spoilers. I didn't rush it or anything and when I finished it I definitely saw why the game garnered such a massive following.

Had the same reaction to the Northern Irish accent, such a lovely surprise for it to be used as it's rarely used in games haha
and actually Irish accents, not Americans trying to do the accent like what we see in tv shows and movies. Felt like I was transported to Northern Ireland for a bit. Bliss.
