@@luxury7882 Well as a Bayern fan myself I have fond memories of that night in Madrid but yeah that Madrid 11/12 team was nuts. I will admit it was quite unfair how you had to basically play the best 2 teams in the world at that time in the span of a week. Beating that OP Barca team to the title definitely still made that season an unforgettable one for you lot.

This 2015 Real Madrid would have given Barca a much better challenge than Juve in my opinion. Although Tévez was a beast for Juve that year!

This year was perfect for the best overlap of legendary Barca and Real players. Barca hit their prime earlier than Madrid, so any year before 2015 would've been too early for some Real players, whereas anything after 2015 would be too late for some Barca players. If Real won it, it would've been an El Clasico UCL final, Barcelona vs Real Madrid, Messi vs Ronaldo, MSN vs BBC, Modrić-Kroos-Casemiro vs Xavi-Iniesta-Busquets, Pique-Mascherano-Alba-Alves vs Ramos-Pepe-Marcelo-Carvajal and Casillas vs Ter Stegen. Barca was already in the final, Real only needed one goal to get there, too. If only...

Casillas only had a bad performance against Schalke 04 in the second leg, but at the same time he only conceded 9 goals in the whole campaign (4 against Schalke 04, the one in which it was his only bad performance) and kept a clean sheet in 7 of the 12 matches
Neuer, for example, who was at the height of his career, conceded 13 goals in 12 games for Bayern in 2014/15, while Buffon conceded 10 goals in 13 games for Juventus in 2014/15 (Practically the same average as Casillas)
And remembering that Casillas had already been playing at a high level since 1999/00 (practically 16 seasons in a row being demanded at the highest level generated very great physical and muscular fatigue, even more so because he was already 34 years old at the time and had been a short goalkeeper, needing to work harder to make saves compared to taller goalkeepers)
