basically I'm afraid of dolls but my friend showed me a video of yours like repainting the MH dolls. I feel like I overcome my fear and I started to watch your videos.
Super cute video, thanks Andreja! I have a little plastic box, sort of like tupperware, that's meant for organizing beads for beadworking, but I use it for keeping all my Monster High accessories organized! It works well because it has lots of compartments in sizes just right for shoes, sweaters, belts, dresses, and etc in MH sizes, which as you know, are quite different from that of most other fashion dolls. Plus, it has a locking lid to keep dust out, and keep it from falling open if my cat knocks it off the table, lol! I recommend checking the craft sections of places like Wal-Mart or Target or dollar stores before going to a dedicated craft store like Michael's, they can have the same type of thing for a much cheaper price! Happy organizing!
I just thought about how to organize all this stuff I have for my boys. Thank you so much for the tip with the folders. And I always wished for a clothing wrack for BJD's, now I know they do exist. I need them! :)
You can also organize them by doing for example, pink clothes go in one page and blue clothing go in another page! ( Or by season for example winter clothes on page, summer another ) :)
Thanks so much for sharing. I love the display ideas. I have my own doll rack for doll clothes, but I feel like I need another with how much clothes they have now. The binder idea is one I'd never heard of and I love it so much! It's such a mess trying to organize all the socks, trinkets, and more intricate outfits that don't fit well on a rack, such as kimono and hanbok. I definitely want to try it for myself now. Have a nice day.
I collect American Girl doll, which are quite large, so I use an Ikea box in my little cube unit and I have divided it into shirts, bottoms and jackets/dresses using shopping bags. It may not be the most organised way to store stuff, but it works for me :)
Not sure about the binder sleeves. I keep my Dollfie Dream clothing in small to medium zip lock bags. If it is a full set it goes all together in a single bag, otherwise they get gathered by style, but never more than 2 or 3 per bag. Shoes go in individual small zip locks too, same as wigs. Accessories go in smallish clear Tupperware-like boxes, those with divisions inside. I keep one box for jewelry and hair accessories and a couple of others for props like fake food and objects. All these are stored in drawer boxes labeled "shoes", "wigs", "accessories" and "clothing" for SD size and same goes for MSD size.
Loving the doll clothing racks you found on etsy! I can see how this would be very helpful for you when using your doll models for your videos - you can easily find the clothing you are looking for without digging in a box. The binders are also a great method to organize! I have too many dolls in too many different sizes and each doll demands various looks. Some are willing to share clothes while others refuse. I keep doll clothes in clear stackable plastic tubs with clip-on lids I get at a fabric store when they have coupon sales. Some dolls have an entire large tub dedicated to their wardrobe while some tubs hold shareable clothing. My Blythe, my two Jerry Berry dolls and all my small Obitsu guys and girls share one small tub. I bag each outfit in a plastic zip-seal sandwich bag to keep all the pieces together. I just realized I should probably be commenting to all your videos using my doll UA-cam account. Oh well.
I do the same binder thing, but the plastic files I use have a thick plastic backing to keep them stable and have velcro closure so clothes don't fall out.
also I absolutely love the dolls you do. I actually do doll repaints, wigs, rerooting and couple other stuff I got inspired by you to start doing doll stuff
Wow! What a great idea with the binder! :D For now, my girls(2 of them) clothes fit in a wooden dresser that is their size. :) Their shoes in another box. But I know in the future, I will need more space. I love buying them clothes
+The 4 Z's depends on what doll you want. Type in BJD in Google. My 1st girl is from Supiadoll and my 2nd is from Fairyland. Their clothes are from Etsy and eBay :)
Wow! love that cute little hanger where did you get it? Btw I love your voice. It's so soft and smooth that it can reduce my stress for a while thanks for making lots of video
I tried the three ring binder thing, but I couldn't fit all my clothes in two and I got frustrated, so instead of keeping them in binders, I now keep the packets of clothes in a plastic drawer, but they're all still separated. I have one for shoes, socks and unmentionables, dresses, skirts, shirts, pants, pjs, seasonal clothes.
I have a little plastic box set, with little drawers. it's for storing nuts and bolts really.. but I got it from Amazon and it works really well. a pare of boots fit like a glove in one of the drawers 😁😊 this is such a cute video 🙂
Hey My crazy dog!, I get doll clothes from many different places be it websites like eBay, Etsy, and general doll websites like the ones linked in my Doll F.A.Q.. I also commission doll seamstresses and keep an eye out for limited doll clothing preorders. I spend a lot of time looking for new places since there is always new people who open their own shop. But I think it is definitely worth all the time spent searching. You may also want to have a look at my Patreon page, where I share and discuss all the new doll clothing stores that I find :)
I don't own any dolls (yet) but this is so interesting! I've always been facinated by dollhouses and such. Where do you normally buy your dolls? I don't have a job at the moment so any cheaper options or tips you can give would be wonderful. Hope you're well!! xx
Hey caleighrosebud here is a list of companies and stores bjdcollectasy.com/companies-other-links/ I suggest checking the resources that are linked in the description box, they will give you all the basic info and help you get started if you are new.
I love the style that you have for your dolls, and the faceups, and your draws... everything is awesome! thanks for do the videos!!! p.d. where do you buy all the doll clothes
I separate them by boxes right now. XD Eventually I'll be putting them on clothing racks but I have to buy all three sizes since I have four Azone Girls and four BJDs (I actually have 5 but one I plan to sell).
in my country its very hard to find a store that provides stuff like this so i had to buy it on ebay or sort.. but ended up being expensive than regular price..any sugestion where i can buy it with a cheaper price?
Do you buy your doll's clothing or make them? I am getting my first ball jointed doll on my birthday and I just wanted to know where to get some simple pieces when I don't feel like sewing.
Hey PandaAndUnicorn AJ here is a list of companies and stores bjdcollectasy.com/companies-other-links/ I suggest checking the resources that are linked in the description box, they will give you all the basic info and help you get started if you are new.
+FrostedBeautyA depends which ones, there are so many different sizes and body shapes in the BJD hobby, some BJD dolls are only 10cm tall and others go past 70cm. But if you are smart and put in the effort to check the dimensions, you might find certain large doll shirts that can be used as dresses or smaller doll dresses that can fit MH as shirts etc.
Hey Chloe Bradley! There are plenty of cheaper alternatives, check www.junkyspot.com, www.bobobie.net, www.resinsoul.com. Den of Angels has listed some very good options as well denofangels.com/doawiki/index.php?title=BJDs_Under_$300!

I think the folder method is great! How many items did you get per folder? Really need to sort out my girls clothes. Also love the racks they look so cute

Ahhh, this idea is genius! I have been using boxes, but they're starting to pile up. Thank you for sharing! I think I will give this a try. :)

I got a blue dress with white dots like that one on the clothing rack I used to wear it all the time so cool

Another way you could store clothes and shoes would be a tackle box or a cardboard (or just a regular) advent calendar

Will BJD clothes work for monster high dolls? Or, will the size be too different?
+FrostedBeautyA depends which ones, there are so many different sizes and body shapes in the BJD hobby, some BJD dolls are only 10cm tall and others go past 70cm.
