Unpacking the origin of the Tetris Theme was more complicated than I expected. A version of it doesn't even appear in the official licensed NES game. It first shows up in the Tengen unlicensed version and was later adapted to become the theme we recognize now as "Korobeiniki" when it appeared on the Game Boy.
Now this is one I know, Chuck! Nevertheless, I did find an original recording of the game's theme. Then I listened to some recordings of the song, Korobeiniki. You did Korobeiniki justice! As always, your arrangements are great and your sound is magnificent. Thanks for the video!
