There is an amazing variety of bird life, including many birds that spend the winter there before flying back northwards. It is good that the wildlife has the place pretty much to itself.

Awww, look at the horses at the end, just doing their job and so proud. You're right about people being put off by nature acting like... nature. Animals die, rot and return to the earth to nourish it, the circle of life and all that. I really enjoyed this brief video, although... I can't believe that you stayed there for more than two days though. I'd be crawling up the walls, but I've always liked a good walking holiday.
