It is interesting to see a more restrained approach in this slowing market. I really appreciated Joel's insights and realistic, buyer-protective restraint. I agree that Elisa's flips are more extensive but it sounds like this remodel really got the job done for the seller and attracted a lot of buyers. I appreciate, Elisa, that you bring in other perspectives and more content with different approaches. Really excellent.
I'm very surprised, the dishwasher and refrigerator weren't updated with stainless steel appliances as the stove was. This is a very good video This goes to show that, everything doesn't have to be updated totally, in order to make a profit off a flip.
This is true, but if I were to live here, the color of the backsplash doesn't go well with the cabinets and countertops. I would like to see more of a cohesive color palette. I might have chosen a warmer color for backsplash tiles
@@Toni_Snark Good point I do agree with that, The backsplash did not coordinate with the cabinets nor countertops for sure. An inexpensive way could have been to reglaze tiles of the back splash, to a warmer color, that coordinates.
I know we're all used to HER flips looking like the Ritz Carlton, but the man DID say he was pushed for time, probably pushed for time on that hard money loan$$ He made the right decisions in all the right places.
I love the remodel. It was encouraging to see the home sell without renovating the kitchen. The only think I did not like 100% was the tile in the shower. I like to squeegee the shower doors and often squeegee the tile to help prevent soap buildup/scum on the shower walls. You can't squeegee this tile siince it is 3 dimensional. It looks to me to be a possible soap scum nightmare down the road. Too many nooks and crannies.
That’s a very nice house with a great floor plan. It looks larger than 1500 sq ft. I like the bathroom updates and the floors are pretty. It looks very light and bright. Pretty backyard too.
Will you share the tile pattern and/or source you used in the shower in the hall bath? We've got a project that could be great for that tile. Thanks in advance.
I wish they added one more small linen closet where that potted plant is in front of the toilet and next to the vanity in the primary bathroom. It seems like a wasted space. Or they could’ve put the toilet there and expanded the standing shower more.
I know that the barn doors are sleeker and modern, but please, NO, on a bathroom! Was there even a door on the master bath? The aesthetic of the home is lovely, but the bathrooms seem to lack privacy.

I will say one tiny thing about the kitchen - the grey backsplash clashes with the countertop

Some of us dislike stainless appliances. I replaced mine as soon as I was able.

The cost of the exterior paint job for this one story house seems excessive. So I'm guessing the expenses have been juiced up to save money on taxes.

Cheap cheap cheap to not at least paint cupboards, replace counters and new appliances. Otherwise it’s good
It is insane to pay $100k over the asking price with that mini old-school kitchen that is not in tune with the rest of the house
Especially the ugly reddish brown granite countertops in the kitchen which are super out of style.
I like Elise's flips more than than this...the kitchen looks out of place and the master's bath doesn't have a door, imagine the smell.
