This is some good news for the A380! Good to see its of some use for airlines!
Denver resident here. Happy to see the big bird coming!
It was absurdly difficult to plan and build DIA. But it's totally paying off.
The people of Denver are in for a treat.
Considering that Lufthansa is operating quite a dense 509PAX configuration on a US route and opening up MORE means the A380 has a future for sure.
Munich has become the US‘s A380 Hub
I’d say it’s Dubai.
DEN is a growing domestic hub. I went through there in August of last year on domestic flights. Makes sense to tap into Uniteds huge amount of connections there.
As long as The A380 continues to fly at all I am happy. I still have hope that a next gen version using a hybrid hydrogen-electric set up can be commercialized soon!
I’m guessing LH is counting on UA to feed them connecting traffic. Which makes sense; it’s the same reason they use their 747-400 at JFK and their 747-8 at EWR.
This is good news for the popular A380. Amazing especially as Lufthansa had no plans to reintroduce the 380 after the pandemic.
Denver is one of the most well designed airports ever. They ACCIDENTALY made it large enough to handle MULTIPLE a380s before the plane even existed !
Why is this comments section infested with robots? What did the A380 do to them?
Report them. It would take your one minute.
I love the new route
Lufthansa hasn’t only use their airbus fleet to fly to Denver as someone who works at the airport in Denver. I’ve seen the 787 many times fly into Denver from Germany.
The “Airbus quote” was in reference to the connection to MUC. Flights from FRA used Boeing equipment. No Boeing jets stationed at MUC.
I'm looking forward to the A380's first diversion down here to COS, when the tornadoes and giant hailstones start disrupting flight plans.
Btw an "unrelated" news: the Alitalia logo and brand is slowly coming back, an ITA A350 was spotted with written "inspired by Alitalia", it seems like the brand will be used on long haul flights.
Awesome! Good news!
Happy days.
The main reason would be code shares with United., and to open up gateways to other cities around the US.
Many of those A380 flights will include a lot of United passengers.
The Frankfurt route had the 789 last year
A380 is beautiful plane i think they keep them flying ✈✈✈✈✈✈❤❤❤❤💪🏾💪🏾
What a great choice to fly to the US, the A380!!
Finally 🎉
I believe the diversion that occurred because of a bomb threat in November 2018 was to Salt Lake City, not Denver.
Isn’t UA planning on putting a Polaris lounge in DEN as well?
IT'S A WONDERFUL PLAN A BEAUTIFUL AIRCRAFT THAT THE FLYING PUBLIC LOVE !! A VERY GOOD POSSIBILITY THAT MORE PEOPLE WILL FLY THESE U.S. BOUND AIRCRAFT THAT HAVE NOT HAD THIS OPERTUNITY BEFORE !! AGAIN GO AIRBUS ❤❤ THUMBS UP TO LUFTHANSA FOR THIS GREAT IDEA !!!❤

The Super Jumbo ✈️ survives Covid!!
reported all the bots.
Interesting. They're really looking to cash in on premium customers.
Emirates are rubbing their hands in the corner 😂
How so?
Forgot to add DXB to YYZ operated by Emirates a380
YYZ is Toronto, which is not in the United States.
They should add BER-CGK/BER-DPS.
They aren't flying intercontinental from Berlin
