I'm really enjoying following your France trip and all these picturesque villages. Your editing style works well to tell the story. That road looked better suited to 2CVs and reversing was deffo the right decision!
So glad you're getting some lovely sunny weather. Here in Australia we are trying to outrun the heatwave at low 40degrees. We definitely needed a powered site to run the aircon. Love those flamingos.
Great reversing skills Trisha. We live in an area of country lanes and the number of folk that can't reverse is alarming! Lovely video again and really enjoy the history lessons. Once you're back in the UK, if you ever want to visit Suffolk, there is an abundance of old timber buildings. Lavenham is especially typical of a 15th century village with over 300 listed buildings. Thanks again. Happy travels
Great video, wow, brilliant reversing Trisha, and published on International Women's Day (8 March), well done 😀🚐 The flamingos are fantastic, so glad you got to see them up close, and that you bought your souvenir flamingo, 🦩 take care, happy travels ❤️🚐🐶🍾🦩 xx
Fantastic architecture to be seen as you made your way South. Well done Trish for comprehensively dealing with the tricky situation of having to reverse, really impressive! The camping car parks are terrific VFM, thanks for the upload 👍
You are a fabulous driver Trish , I can’t even reverse into a parking space! Those flamingos looked beautiful, what a find. Glad you’re stopping to "smell the roses" in the little villages, much better than boring motorways.
Nice tricky reversing. I've been in that situation myself - had to put in my electric mirrors. Council van coming other way no bothered about going in passing place. Nice tour in France 😊
A very nice video with a rather good show on how to reverse in a VERY tight spot!!! All the villages with their great big churches were lovely, the awesome show of flamingos at the end was spectacular.... Keep safe and out of tight spots...😛
Just " loooved " your presentation 😊 A cab table chat with us ....walkabout with your over commentary....then the lovely music leading up to 🤔🤭 the merry.go.round 🤗 The joy coming through you in your new van venture..... Oh yes and you've past the test of " having to reverse away from tricky encounters " Looking forward to more "oot n aboot" with Kiera n co. Cheers from "Down.under" ❤
Blimey guys there would be tension in our van down that lane ….. well done Trish I like the Martel site and location Wow flamingoes ❤ Looks like your really relaxed - have fun guys
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland A great video. I loved the travelogue you gave of your journey to the south of France. Beautiful little villages on the way. Nice park up by the sea. I loved the flamingoes.
Thanks Michael, the flamingoes were an unexpected surprise, and seeing them up close on their natural habitat was something special for us that we will never forget 👍🐾💕
Great video. And think of all the history around the places you’ve visited. You just can’t beat the wee villages and hamlets anywhere in Europe. Stunning. Loved the flamingos. Cheers
It looks like you've got another fan, my French wife, aka Mme MB. She reckons that some of the villages featured are in the Auvergne. Her late Maman was from the Hérault dept, to the west of where you are in les montagnes noires. Bonne route. 👍🏻
Hari OM Honestly. Satnav has driven me to distraction on this trip oot, and I have had half a dozen multipoint turns to do in The Grey because of such roads (and two farm tracks) as you faced there! It's six metres does pretty well in tight spaces, it turns out. You were brave backing all the way, Trish! Anyhoo - the towns you found looked fab and it's impossible not to feel better for the sighting of a flamingo! Hooroo the noo, YAM xx
Hi its called the Camping Car Park you can apply online if in the UK and the card will be sent to you, alternatively when you go to France to one of their sites you can get a card at the entrance through one of their automated machines.😀
Hi Mike & Tricia, very much hope your adventures are going well. We are just about to buy the Swift 144 but wondered if you could answer one question which is troubling us. We keep hearing that the Whale heating and water system is bad and continually has faults over using a Webasto diesel system. Could you let me know how you have found it so far. Really appreciate your comments and advice and keep posting the wonderful videos.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot Hi Mike and Tricia, thanks so very much for your reply and for taking time out to answer my query. That’s great, and puts my mind at rest. Really love the 144 and it’s a perfect layout for us two and Hamish our border terrier. Have a nice day and look forward to more videos.
Hi, can I ask if you have avoided tolls? Also did you need to purchase a crit air sticker? We have been following your journey and hope to visit some of these places later in the year in our wellhouse converted proace. Enjoy the rest of your journey. Many thanks in advance.
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot thank you. Yes we watched you when you first got Maggie. We had already seen the proace and knew that was what we wanted but it took us some time to get it due to family bereavements etc

Wow 40 degrees, dont think we could cope with that. The flamingoes were definitely a highlight for us👍💕🐾
I loved following along through those beautiful little villages with you. Great video!

Bravo with all that tricky reversing, so impressive! And just wonderful seeing the flamingoes (and the warmth and light of Southern France...)

For walking around, I use google maps on my phone. And for poor/absent signal areas I can download the map in advance. I hate getting lost...
