In the aftermath of last week’s explosive episode and Nintendo Direct, Logan and Justin talk about what YOU thought of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Metroid Prime 4, and the Direct as a whole. People get so pedantic about the point of playing as Zelda for the first time, you know what people mean! 😅 3D mainline Zelda where she is the main playable character or 2d even…I haven’t played every single handheld game tbh.

Ok we really need to humble ourselves and talk about this.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with being an adult male approaching middle age and still being a huge fan of games like Zelda if life allows you to still enjoy it.
But THIS right here, if there is a big enough audience within this demographic to keep the franchise afloat, this is who Zelda should be catered to above all else.
I know this is an incredibly provocative thing to suggest, but if the franchise isn't solely relying on aging fans, then by default they series should not be for you anymore and you need to come to terms with being an afterthought if you want to remain a fan.
We cling to the childhood magic of Nintendo games in adulthood but sometimes forget that there are new generations of fans who deserve to be the priority, to be given that same experience we had and sometimes that won't align with our own nostalgia.

Technically Link's Awakening *does* do the alternate world thing, the entire game takes place in the alternate world.

I think my most replayed game growing up was tales of symphonia. I do think that was much more since i'd only get a game or two a year.
