I hope you guys enjoyed the way this video was done! I included a bit of a story throughout, and with the editing, to simulate the effects of being poisoned on the video! Let me know what you guys think!
Quilvish I'm the balloon Pokémon!!! Drifloon: am I a joke to u 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤦🏻♀️
Hey u know mega beedrill is UU and an excellent poke in that it's higher tier than mega glaile mega abamasnow mega blastoise mega sceptile mega abamasnow and u have knock off to cripple walls and has '' defog''
@@Ash-GreninjaExpert
Jigglypuff: I'm about to show you both why the Clefairys are my Poochyenas!
Love the video, but question: Are you thinking about doing more best team videos for fan games? If so have you considered doing one on Pokemon MMO. It lets you play in all pre G6 games minus Johto and Unova pre time skip.
You can start in any of four regions and after getting four badges you can travel to the other ones.
Why had you showed that real ariados? You almost gave me a heart attack
Who's gonna tell him Jigglypuff's line is also a Balloon pokemon line lmao
Poor Seviper, I know it’s not that good in competitive battles but he’s still my good Viper boi and one of my favorite poison types. Fun move pool I like to run with Poison Tail, Flamethrower, Dig, Coil.
Put it in bench and increase poison damage
Seviper was always my personal fav poison
Yeah I love seviper
A few seconds in and there's already poison jokes... This'll be a good one.
Who doesn't love a good poison barb
Man, I hope Arbok gets a regional form upgrade soon...
I feel it’s a really iconic mon, but it just can’t hang with the big boys...
Poison/ice?
@@porcogaliard3575 not more ice regionals pls
Same, probably a new evolution as well. The same goes for Quilfish hopefully.
Early Pokédex entries literally talk about Arbok having different patterns depending on where it’s from…it’s practically begging for regional variants
If megas ever get back it needs one along seviper
"Ariados can sit down and join Pokémon like Delibird, Magcargo and Wormadam on the Mount Rushmore of horrible Pokémon."😂
But Dustox is worse than Ariados at least Ariados can do damage and tank a few attacks Dustox outside of a few decent status moves is so frail that is not worth using one on your team honestly.
@@SonBlackHeart22 I used one in my omega ruby team from beginning to end.
@@SonBlackHeart22 dustox has recovery while aridos doesn't also tank some hits dude aridos is incredibly terrible on the defensive side dustox has 90 special defense at least.
Mega Beedrill is a totally different beast to normal beedrill due to that nuclear power, I don't feel like regular Beedrill deserves to be let off the hook for that mega though
"Ariados is the worst poison type"
And me getting stomped by bugsy Ariados on Radical Red like a little b....
I feel your pain
I think ariados is buffed in radical red. Also it get fell stinger in radical red.So yeah lets just say i had to fight a certain gym leader for 7 or 8 attempts
Radical red buff heavily all bad pokemon, so it only make sense to be swept by things as an ultra buffed ledian or ariados. (for example, meganium is extremely broken, and it's a meganium)
God the typhlosion is so op.Blazing soul eruption with stab specs literally is so strong that you can literally one shot the pokemon in e4 that dont resist it
Ayesha Akter WAS so Op, since it doesn’t get eruption until level 100 now.
How is skuntanks 84 speed " not very good " ? , like 84 is pretty average/above average as far as speed goes
Mystic mainly likes fast pokemon over 100 speed.
@@darianclark3980 Any pokemon with less than 100 is crap in his eyes. It’s like he’s never heard of a tank lol
Competitively it’s a pretty subpar speed tier which is why he considers it not very fast in which he’d be correct
@@Michael-mg5kq You're technically right/wrong.
But anyways, it's a joke that in the Weakest Type Series, Mystic *Always Trashes* Pokemon under at least 95 Speed, which is both stupid but quite hilarious.
@@darianclark3980 Dont forget pokemon with "NO COVERAGE"....that seems to be a recurring theme
You know there's going to be REALLY bad Pokémon on the list when you see Qwilfish ranked at number 10
Qwilfish isn't bad, he is quite powerful in lower tiers and decent movepool
Qwilfish is a very good toxic spikes setter in the lower tiers.Mystic usually ranks pokemon for playthroughs . So yeah kinda decent in competitive but kinda shit in playthroughs
@@ayeshaakter9340 qwilfish can take a punch or two
@@ayeshaakter9340 I doubt this is based off of playthroughs
I’ve always considered Qwilfish decent enough, I just wish that it was a little more bulky on the physical side, or just have more HP. It has a pretty rare combo of Flip Turn and Intimidate too, so can lower their attack stat and then dip, a strategy used with other common Pokémon like Incineroar.
If only it did have more HP, this would be viable. AV could have just been added to fix it’s low Sp Def, just like on Buzzwole or Kartana.
Muk is a way better Mon than Seviper or Victreebel.
Nah victreebel is a better mon overall
@@laxusstrauss5945 fax
I love Qwilfish though!! I've walled out a Melmetal before with a Physically Defensive Qwilfish. Impish nature, 252 Defense, 252 HP, 4 Attack. Intimidate ability. Moves- Aqua Jet, Toxic Spikes, Thunder Wave, Destiny Bond.
I don't agree with Qwilfish on this list, maybe if it was a Top 11, but definitely not within the Top 10! Lol
It was a good hazerd stacker and wall back in the old gens
Yeah is placement feels very odd since it has been good even in the lower tiers honestly.
This means it's finally weakest Fairy types next. I've been looking forward to that one.
And last will be the weakest dragon types
@@wintertheampharos4725 That one will also be very interesting.
Oh man seeing both Beedrill and Arbok hurts me. They're 2 of my favorite poison types and has help me a lot in my playthrough USUM. But mostly for Arbok "Look how he massacre my boy ."😢
Poison Type only became useful in Gen 6 because it was One of two types (the other being the strong Steel type) hitting Fairies
Agreed, poison wasn't really needed before fairies. In my most recent playthrough of HeartGold, I had Sludge Bomb on my Gengar, but rarely used the move since it wasn't really needed to win battles. I mainly just used the other moves I had on my Gengar (Shadow Ball and Psychic and the occasional Hypnosis).
Wrong. Toxic is the best attack ever
@@porcogaliard3575 yeah, and a lot of non-poison Pokemon can learn it
@@wubbers662 toxic is learned by all pokemons I guess
@@leenanath8586 until gen 8 when a lot of stall ‘mons had it removed from their movepools... sad.
What are the best poison types ? Cause I’ve been using Arbok lately in Ultra sun with a coil set and it’s a beast but also power up punch Kanto Muk can be quite helpful
I think we would all agree that the best poison type pokemon nowadays is toxapex Cause he's a beast defensively. But if you want some other alternatives i'd say Nidoking/queen, toxicroa, crobat, toxtricity as exemples
Arbok is one of my favorites hands down. I always use one when I'm doing a fire red play through and it's always performed well for a play through.
Same, I used Arbok on my play through USUM and it help me surprisingly good. Even when taking on that stupid fatal 4way tournament it really help me a lot with its movepool being:Coil,Gunk Shot,Earthquake and Crunch. But I guess considering MysticUmberon is checking in competitive wise I can understand why! But still I love Arbok regardless, is mostly my third favorite Poison type next to Crobat(1st) and Beedrill at 2nd, who is also on this list sadly.
@noicecream yes it is based on competitive solo 6v6 (smogon/pokemon showdown)
@noicecream He does lol and competitivly Arbok is horrid. Despite having an even stat spread, most of the stats aside from his attack are good. It can't take hits well and will most likely get 1HKO'd but a strong ground or pyschic move
Skuntank is mean when Glactic Commander Jupiter uses it.
If mega forms are being taken into account in making these rankings then Beedrill should not be anywhere on this list... Yes, it’s a glass cannon but it will take out many things before going down and shouldn’t be considered weak at all
Totally agree
Agree this list feels a bit odd with placements honestly Dustox is far worse than Ariados honestly
@@SonBlackHeart22 Yeah, at least Ariados can attack decently and support the team with sticky web
@@jackfaulkner3772 Beedrill is ass and without a mega, it's totally outclassed by venomoth.
Man I gotta say looking at those stats and decent movepool, Quilfish is pretty respectable. Get intimidate ability, then run Toxic, Venoshock, Aqual Tail and Self Destruct.
This comment aged VERY well
I’m starting to notice a trend with my favorite Pokémon seeing as how most of them end up on these lists (Qwilfish, Arbok on this one). Idk, I’ve grown to appreciate some of the lesser Pokémon with the help of Pokémon Go and replaying through all the games over the last few months lol as long as my boy Psyduck never makes an appearance, he’s my #1
Psyduck and especially its evo is very good. So it won't make on weak pokemon list anyways
I feel you man😔
@@leenanath8586 I mean yea, but I somewhat remember him taking a shot at Golduck before? Even if he hasn’t, I was mostly going for a joke anyway. Besides the “most my favorite Pokémon being on these lists” part. That’s true lol
Gonna train Ariados for the first time in my life in heart gold. I want to use pokemon I never used before and make things a little harder. his design is great and 90 atk is usable for a playthrough so Im willing to take this chance
Victreebel actually has history in ubers, buddying up to Groudon, and could run wild in gen 5's unlimited sun. Chlorophyl, sleep powder, good mixed attack stats, growth giving +2 to both offenses in sun, and weather ball to melt most steel types that would otherwise wall it. It's usability went down with the nerf to weather, but it's a menace when the sun is out. The odd part is that it's based on a carnivorous plant that doesn't get its diet strictly from sunlight.
Is nobody going to tell him that mega Beedrill was an bsolute beast?
But Swalot does have recovery in stockpile and swallow. I know it's not reliable but it's still a healing move.
Waiting 3 turns to basically use recover is never good or useful. It's cool lore wise but yea its bad.
Hey Mystic, I really enjoy your videos! Say, do you ever plan on bringing back the best team for every generation series? I thought it was really interesting and I'd to hear your thoughts on what the best competitive teams for generations 6, 7 and 8 are.
Swalot carried me through a Nuzlocke once. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for it.
Am I the only one who noticed the attack screen caps for Skuntank’s were upside down? It gave me a giggle lol solid list that I agree with as usual!
Yaa me too.I thought my screen got upside down by auto-rotate and now I'm seeing it was a mistake
Mega Beedrill is not worse than Muk. There is no way. It is UU in Gen 7 for a reason. Mega Beedrill doesn't really stay in, it mostly uses U-Turn and either claims a kill or does a good chunk of damage on the opponent. The only times it uses something else is when its sure that it can kill the opponent only with that move. So it not being able to take hits doesn't matter when its not staying on the field for a while anyway.
Yea fr, if you got stab U turn then you're gonna use stab U turn (except volcarona but that's a case of exception proves the rule plus it's more of a fire type Sp attacker). Megadrill is one of the worst of the megas but it's mega alone should keep beedrill off the list. It has use and in the right team it's hella useful in gen 6 if you're getting creative. It shouldn't be on this list at all, I can think of several of bug/poisons that could take it's place on the list.
Also dustox is almost essential for gen 3 nuzlockes so I don't think it should be number 2.
Ariados as number 1 is fair tho.
ariados and beedrill are among some of my fav poison types but theyre both bad :[ (venomoth is my no. 1 fav but its actually pretty good)
ROM hackers be like oh that's a bad poison type, I'll just slap dark on them
- Weakest But Best Pure Poison Type : Garbodor, Swalot, Seviper, Arbok, Poipole.
- Rare Poison Dual Types : Ariados, Skorupi and Scolipede.
- Mega Beedrill has Potential if That Special Move Electro 🕸️ was An Attack Move, Muk and Weezing Are The Weakest In My Book other than Bad Type Compatibility.
Oo. Just clicked on the vid. Excited to see the worst poison types also ty mystic for ur hardwork to make these AMAZING videos!
I’ve used swalot to beat all of my friends teams before. It’s pretty tanky and I’d say that’s good for a type like poison
Mystic coming clutch with this vid I was bored out my mind there for a sec
You'd be surprised how many times dustox has walled people with shield dust, roost, quiver dance, and toxic
Another cool type of video would be best regional team, the best team for each game, but you can only use pokemon introduced in that region
Alright, one more comment: I will say that I used a curse, ice punch, shadow sneak and poison jab Muk back in the day when I played competitive online battles in Black and White. A tank-physical attack mixed EV trained Muk was pretty damn hard hitting for me at least in 5th gen. Oh, and run that black sludge to keep him up. Boom, I just blew my own mind.
When comes to non fully evolved pokemons, no 1's budew
U mean Sunkern right?
@@darianclark3980 My favourite poison type.
Gulpin lol
Solid list! Anyone have any predictions of his rankings for weakest Dragon and Fairy Pokemon?
That virbank complex music hits the right beat on the ear drum for this style of video
Was anyone thinking Shrek when they saw the thumbnail 👀
I love that thumbnail. Seviper tied into a balloon animal🤣🤣🤣
I have an Arbok in my monotype team. Actually, it had its good times …
6:33 I thought my phone got switched off on its own😂😂
I just started watching the video and I’m so afraid I will end up seeing my favorite Pokémon Arbok on this list 😬
5:00 Hey, this image is upside down!
The poison must be taking its toll.
I understand this is from a competitive viewpoint, which I don't really play, so I can't actually argue with this. However, Skuntank really grew on me when I used it for my Sun game. I actually raised two, one physical and one special attacker (bred for IVs and natures to make it work.) It worked really well for my main game playthrough and they were two of my most reliable teammates. Competitively, sure, maybe it isn't top tier, not sure it deserve top 10 worst though, lol.
Nah same. He usually does pretty good with these lists but skuntank and beedrill (it's mega wasn't half bad) shouldn't be on here. Dustox has invaluable in gen 3 nuzlockes too.
Idk maybe with overquil skuntank seems more irrelevant but it's not a "top 10 worst of (blank) type) pokemon at all. I don't even like it and feel it needs a lil more respect.
Arbok is underrated. With coil, gunk shot and sucker punch it has potential. Intimidate helps it against physical attackers and sucker punch knocks out psychic types while hitting anything faster than it hard after a coil.
Idk if something changed but I’ve been playing through leaf green with an all poison team and muk has been solid I taught him flamethrower and it’s been so good for coverage
Poison is my favorite typing, and I honestly wasn't shocked or upset with any of this. Though if Weezing (my MAIN) made it idk.. might've had to catch you outside LOL.
that said, it is sad... but understandable Seviper and Arbok are so poor, even Skunktank (who I've recently tried to make viable for a Diamond run, only used for the defog to get places lol)
I do wish Beedrill had more defenses too, but everytime I think that I'm like "How is a hornet gunna take a hit and it make sense though? it's a hornet, bugs are smushy" lol
Video: pics upside down
Me: trying to get my screen rotation
that balloon snake Serviper is funny as hell!
Honestly, it's pretty clever of you what you did with this vid. Way to sell the poison aspect.
Ugh... *dies* XP
I don't think Mega Beedrill is that bad. But Mega Beedrill needs to outspeed and manage to ohko the opponent before they get a hit. And it had a good ability (Adaptability). It also has Fell Stinger for the Attack boost.
I feel once you do all the types you should do a list of all the number 1s to find the worst of the worst
I just used Swalot in an ORAS play through and liked him a lot actually. He wasn’t a sweeper by any means, but tanked hits in big battles and set up toxic because of those tank stats. I just have a soft spot for tanky Pokémon though.
I should follow up that I used Muk in my very next playthrough and his movepool sucks too much. Isn’t as fun
I used 2 different Poison type Pokemon to replace Skuntank and Muk (Kantonian) in my list. Those Poison types are Slowking (Galarian) and Glimmora. And for those that are gonna complain, I feel like Glimmora's not great as a Poison type, since it's dual type is pretty bad. Yeah, Nihilego has that dual type as well, but at least it can cover that problem as best as it can.
Glimmora is dope. It's OU for a reason. This isn't a fair comparison I'll admit but Ttar has one of the worst typing in the game and it's ability, stat distribution and move pool negate that fact. Same with glimmora
It's gonna faint for sure but not before setting up toxic spikes literally for free and 2HKO at least something. Imo it's in the same class as forretress or ferrothorn. Obviously not as good as gen 5 thorn but same role for sure.
4x to to ground is always gonna hurt tho so I get it.
@@jazzercise300 I started to rethink about it after awhile and removed Glimmora from my weakest Poison type list and replaced it with Clodsire.
I used a swalot in an ORAS run odk if I was just lucky but it was a tank and smashed it's way through almost everything
I’m probably the only person in the world who’s favorite Pokémon, unironically, is Qwilfish.
At 5:04 Is it just me or is that screenshot upside down?
I was happy that I knew Ariados will be number one but seeing that spider isn't really something I expected or want.
I have a suggestion if you finish this series , rank all the weakest pokemon of each type from strongest to weakest
Watching this really make me want to play a run way i can only use pokemon you never catch and seriously use them.
I need an Antidote now. Oh wait, I’m a poison type
The poison puns though 😂
Shed skin scarf seviper looks usable lol
4:56 - Did that picture just be upside down? Lol
Arbok is actually not that bad I think I used it on my team it was actually really strong and I love that Seviper looked like balloon animal it look kinda funny. I can't wait for fairy to be next.
How did you walk past "how much do you think about swallot? not a lot" lol
I just came to this video from one of Mr mystic Umbreon other videos did he did 2 years ago and I think it's a really good idea if he does the best legendary and mythical team for sword and shield
That's sad for my boi seviper it has a great potential
Also some of the mons there are pretty good
Skuntank victreebel qwilifish ...

Yo, Swalot is a great for causing sleep and poison. Great in a regular playthrough and pretty derpy. But I guess is sucks in competitive :(
These Pokemon where's the most less toxic Pokemon I've ever seen in my life
Arbok isn’t that bad, it can learn Earthquake, Coil, Gunk Shot, and Fire Fang. And maybe Aqua Tail.
Ice Fang too to cover its Ground type weakness. In the Rom Hack PokeMon Radical Red it becomes Poison/Dark, and can learn Jaw Lock (Which is a Fighting move instead of a Dark type move).
