  • I survived 24 hours in the streets in china speaking only Chinese to chinese people. Speaking only Chinese all day for 24 hours can be very challenging if you're not a Chinese person. I didn't struggle at all as i spoke with chinese elders, young people as well as interacting with all the strangers i met on the street. It was a fun experience. I learned a lot being out there all by my self

Black in china out here breaking people's necks 😂 Your social/self awareness is very much admirable and so is your situational self confidence. I wouldn't be able to casually walk roam around in a country with people are almost fixated by the fact a black man is just walking by, honestly i would probably become paranoid haha. Ofc i know they're just curious and don't mean any harm by it but still, little uncomfortable just by watching 😅 Either way that's exactly what you do and you make it look very easy 💪 On top of that, you meet their curiosity in a very open, loving and insightful way that always ends with a smile on their faces. I salute you brother ❤✝️🙏🫡

Thanks to you all for being out there along with me. When ever I’m out there I’m always not alone. I can feel all your presence so the rest is just fun.
Sometimes the group of strangers I meet ask me this question. “ Are you out all by yourself?” I just laugh and to me it’s an indirect way of saying I’m not alone.

China has diversified culture- some are influenced by modernity but there are some living candidly in their old ways. Many Chinese are curious about foreigners and are usually friendly towards them.

Really enjoy your posts. I have been trying to determine your hybrid English accent. Obviously, the result of the different places you have lived, been educated and other pronunciation habits from your different languages. My sister is a dialect coach for movies and theater and the subtleties are all so interesting.

He says he's from Cameroon, that's a billungual country (French and English) plus there are 260 dialects as well, so his accent is going to be a mix of one of those 260 dialects, English, France and Mandarin. His English sounds slight recieved speech, but softened up (not a bad thing either!)

this proves typically people don't like or dislike because a person is black, in fact being black can be very advantageous because of uniqueness. speaking fluent chinese as a black man makes this wonderful man a bit of an attraction. This is the first black man most of these Chinese people have ever seen, they have an innocent curiosity, it is not racism but a yearning to learn about someone so unique. One lady asked innocently "how come your teeth are not black" he responded kindly "this is how I was made" they said he was good looking and were fascinated by his master of Chinese lanquage and culture
