There were many different subversion from the characters, from Luz and Amity to King and Eda and even some from Emperor Belos with his manipulation of The Collector. This season pushed beyond the expected for fans. Did it meet your expectations or go beyond them?
This season pretty much went beyond my expectations and man, I am TIRED of seeing good cartoons end too soon.

Definitely beyond. Espesially with belos. I knew he had to have some fucked up backstory and a layer to his character but I didnt expect him to have more than one. His past life as a witch hunter, his relationship to his brother, his ability to manipulate and even him resembling a colonizer... It all makes sense and recontextualizes the whole story.
Beyond. Definitely beyond. The pacing of this season was un-FREAKING-believable!!
Beyond, for sure! So much better than the first season! It really found its footing, and my God the representation! We literally got a lesbian/bi kiss!!! Holy fuck dude!
And the Collector! What's their deal! Everyone seems to use he or they for them, so I'm definitely saying their pronouns are he/they until I'm told otherwise lol.
Anyway, I cannot WAIT to see what they do with this Child God. I want to know what would happen if they pulled the Collector into the human world. Would he be able to do magic there? I believe that may be the way to defeat him.
And also, if the Collector can move the sun/moon... Maybe they can also create a portal?
Imagine King saying how bad he misses his sister, and how bad he wishes she could come and play with them. Ooo or "there's this whole other world of people, have you ever been there? My sister from there taught me new games. But she's only ONE human. Imagine all the games other humans know! Imagine all the toys they have! Wanna go check it out? I've always wanted to play there with everyone!"
King would have to be really careful but he might could pull it off. And if magic doesn't work in the Human Realm.... Would he be powerless there?
Then again knowing this lil shit, The Collector would probably try to pull all the humans into the Demon Realm to play with them. Or merge the Realms together or some shit.
I want to know the limits of what this kid can do.
Oh, and I DESPERATELY want him to receive a hug. Like, all of the hugs. Poor kid had more power than he knew how to handle, and seemed to forever be stuck in the child mindset (or perhaps he will age now that he's free?). They were locked away, in isolation. Which is a fate worse than I'd subject my greatest enemies too. No one deserves that.
I get the Titan might not have had too many options as to how to stop the Collector, but like at LEAST give the mirror to a family to keep them company or something!!!
Otherwise you're just creating a God who has no way of understanding empathy!
I hope King can get through to them. I want Eda to try to Parent the Collector. I think it'd be really fun to see how she tries.
Because as terrifying as they are, I think Eda would hopefully recognize "this is a *child*. He's like King's age, for Titan's sake."
Eda: "Collector, you're grounded. Go to your mirror."
Collector: "no! You're not the boss of me!"
Eda: "3..."
"no don't count!"
"2!"
"you can't make me, I don't wanna!"
"1..."
"no no okay fine! * grumbles * and heads to their mirror." I hate this family!"
Quick reminder: Gus is honestly the best. This dude, at age *12* created an illusion that covered the entire school and soloed a coven head with no Galder Stones, no random power buffs, no nothing. Just raw talent. We stan Gus in this house.
Remember in season 1 when the trio animated the owl house, and Eda mentioned that took really powerful magic? We had thought it was Willow, but Hooty's eyes were the same blue as we see from Gus's illusions.

Once he gets a hold on his powers and learns to control them completely, he’s going to be dangerously over powered
This does also go against the trope where the protagonist is automatically stronger than everyone else since even their friends can do much more powerful things sometimes not even intentionally. The only way Luz actually keeps up is by copying a wide variety of options and using them in creative ways
The Owl House season 2 is the purest and most well-executed example of "Well, THAT escalated quickly 😳"

@@LloydVerner the show was cut short really early. If it would have come out on disney plus it probably could have had the full runtime it deserved because they don't have to worry about it being "age appropriate" for the disney channel. Sadly that didn't happen.

The whole "Luz gets possessed by the Collector" thing started with one of Dana's "Be Gay Do Witchcraft" Charity Drawathon sketches of the Collecor and how he/they looked a lot like Luz
Never saw it. Like, cartoon style has similar shapes and even that way Collector's nose is straight up different.

Honestly glad that Dana made this show. She did say that this was watered down by disney and is the most kid-friendly she can get or would care to. She has an affinity for dark+whimsical shows, but kid shows? Not really. So yeah, pretty glad I get to see this show while it's still here.
It's clear that whatever she will try to make after TOH will most likely lean much more toward straight-up horror, and purely based off her drawings, I'm really interested to see what exactly she'd be able to turn out.

The original plan for the owl house had luz being older and almost a young adult it also had her die in the first episode there was no plan for her to go to a witch school the change was forced by Disney to make it more kid friendly.

I'll admit, I first started watching the owl house because I heard about the LGBT+ rep, but I stayed because I fell in love with the world, the story, and most of all, the characters. It's become my personal favorite series and I've never seen anything quite like it.
I mean the rep is amazing but Lumity is also a refreshing example of a actually very healthy relationship where they actually COMMUNICATE

That's why I enjoy the show. The representation is not treated as the most important part of the show. It treats it as it should be - a smaller part of a normal life instead of the elephant in the room.
I find it hilarious that a Disney cartoon for kids has one of the most realistic and healthy relationships ever shown on TV!
Yet the bods at Disney's big corporate department don't seem happy with it and axed the show. Baffling!

I would’ve said Gravity Falls Season 2, but that had a single bad episode in Roadside Attraction and one okay episode with The Love God.
In Owl House Season 2 I don’t think there was a single episode I’d put below good and my least favorite of the season is its first episode.

This aged really poorly.
I think a lot of people expected the palisman to hatch (reveal) so that Luz could take on Belos. I was expecting a dramatic sacrifice but more so Eda/Lilith/Raine than King. I also hope that they keep Eda with an arm missing instead of 'fixing it' later
They won't fix it. The owl house is amazing at disability rep. Is anything they'll probably give her a prosthetic or keep her with a nub. I doubt they'd even try to 'fix' it

The thing about Hunter is, like you said, We know he's gonna turn 'good' like it's pretty obvious, but HOW it'll get executed was the exciting part, Even tho Hunter is as of now one of my favorites in the show, His arc was pretty predictable but also surprising at the same time, I wish we got to see more of his Golden Guard persona and how some people in the castle led to percieved him as a "brat" or "annoying voice", Sadly we didn't have 20 more adventures to explore.
yeah I think he is the modern equivalent of Zuko. where we knew he was eventually going to turn good bur the writing was so excellent it made it even better. I'm jusr sad we are probably missing out on an adorable Huntlow episode (I ship them almost as hard as I do Lumity

To be honest, your point of how we know it's gonna happen but how it's executed applies to many other things in the Owl House. For example, many people already knew that Hunter was a Grimwalker, and it was pretty much confirmed in Elsewhere that Belos was Philip, but the way both reveals were executed in Hollow Mind was so great that most weren't even underwhelmed
I completely agree. The show didn't take the angle of "he is a bad person that learns to become a better person". Instead he is an abused kid with a good heart that needed to realize how he was being manipulated so that he could break free from it. He always wanted to do good, he just didn't know how. It's barely a villian redemption at this point.
@@krowkat5491 yeah, it's more of like, anti-hero to hero, at most. He was never really a villain. He was just an abused kid who wanted to help do good for the world. He thought he had it right because he was manipulated into thinking he did.
One of the best seasons in western animation history. No question about it.

I love Belos, he's an irredeemably evil but from his perspective he has really good motive.
Even HE says that he is doing the wrong thing for the right reason. It is the wrong reason, though. He just had to give the world a chance...
He's a zealot, a true believer. Though by now I don't think he could survive changing his mind, it might kill him one way or another. He's reminiscent to horde prime in some ways, an ancient being that has escaped death in some sense, all to accomplish a goal that requires him to kill a lot of ppl, though the nature of the goal is different. Also they are both manipulative when they need to be.

I do love me a good evil paragon. Singlemindedness is not a hero specific trait and expecially when it's like phillip's hatred for witches it turns a otherwise human character into a force of nature that cannot be reasoned with. So much fun.
@@plaidhatter1674 he's not doing it for fun, from his perspective he's saving the world from evil but he does it with that same joy bigots persecute their victims with when they believe they're in the right.
Personally I think the fantasy for Luz was broken at the end of season 1 when she had no way home I think after Hollow minds is where Luz's signature optimism is broken and is more so done in Edge of the world and Titan where art tho where hope is taken away twice with King not finding his family and Eda and Lilith not actually having a plan.

Luz's memory problems are also likely due in part to her her ADHD. As someone who also has ADHD I can confirm that we have terrible memories, even when it comes to "important" things. Unless its something that we particularly enjoy, our brains filter it all out. Combined with her own insecurities projecting themselves onto her memories, its no wonder she's misremembering things.
Can there be varying levels of ADHD severity?
I might have add (I at least act like I do) and I have a bad time remembering things that just happened (like how I can walk into a room and forgot why I went there) but I can remember random things that happened years ago that no one else does to the point where people sometimes call me a liar.

I remember random moments in my life a little more than other people, leading to me thinking I had a good memory for most of my childhood, and yet there were other times I misremembered or completely forgotten something that should've been eventful or recent at the time to the point that I saw others saying something completely different from what I remembered or lack thereof to be a very strange reoccurring phenomenon.
Am I the only one who thinks that a petition should be formed to have an extra season for this show and to continue being streamed on disney channel ?
There wasn't a petition, but a lot of fans did fight very hard for S3 not to be cut. Unfortunately disney didn't listen, and the creators have now said its too late for another season
A lot of people wrote physical letters to try and get a third season, but unfortunately the choice has been made by disney already. hopefully a spin-off will be made, but there’s really no way to tell
This is why I love Owl House. Because it’s hard for me to predict it. It’s not like other shows I know.
I like that with the owl house, they don't just have episodes from Luz's point of view and that's it. They have entire episodes or b plots from other perspectives, which totally lends better to a more fleshed out story
The Owl House is one of those rare shows where basically EVERY episode is relevant and essential to the plot as there’s always some sort of development or worldbuilding hidden in even the smaller episodes. Literally the only 100% “filler” episode I can think of is Really Small Problems (S1E14) but even then there’s some good character development in that one. Just goes to show how subversive the show is as a whole
I think we could do without the body swap episode.

It was never brought up again, the lessons learned was pretty handwavey , with the only impact that they wont bicker about each other having it better again, which they did not do before this episode either

What’s sad about Luz’s characterization is that her biggest pro is her biggest con - She wants to please or help her friends and family not only out of support but the fact that she’s a people pleaser.
If you reread her dialogue in Reaching Out, Edge of the World, And so on, Luz is constantly putting herself to blame for the things that happened. She blamed herself for not being honest with Amity when in truth, Luz is dealing that this is the first time she doesn’t get to see her dad or give him a flower on his passing and doesn’t know how to deal with it. Then she kept helping out Amity with her problem because Luz herself doesn’t want to be selfish or bothering Amity because she wants her gf happy to make her dad proud.
In the Edge of the World, Luz blames herself for helping Phillip when in truth, Phillip is an ass and manipulates everyone around him to get what he wants. Luz doesn’t see it like in Hollow Mind where Belos is taking advantage and manipulating people - She sees this as “This is all of my fault and I need to fix this.”
Luz is a selfless and great character but being selfless means that she puts people’s lives over her own.
+ In Dana’s Art after King’s Tide where the kids are patched up by Vee, Luz has her arms closed off, an angry look on her eyes, and ain’t the happy go girl in the first episode…
She’s angry at herself.
She let this happened.
She lost her witch family.
She lost everything…
Rather than knowing that she doesn’t need to blame herself for everything
(At 11:10) yeah, the fact that Amity is so fed up with her mother that she "disowned" her, that child's going to have a lot of trouble moving forward after that.
No Wonder The Owl House still hits me in the feels and I LOVE It
Okay, so two things that i want to appreciate:
1. They showed a man being the abuse victim in a relationship. Usually, men are shown to be the abusers but irl anyone can be abusive and anyone can be abused. And even though it's not said in the show, it's pretty clear that Odalia was abusive towards Alador, and he was scared of her. They're both older / middle-aged people too. And I'm glad that they show Alador practically getting a divorce (that "i quit" has no other meaning).
2. A lot of the characters technically got what they wanted, but not how they envisioned it. Luz got to live in a fantasy world, but had to experience the extreme danger and repercussions that came with it. Gus and Hunter desired to see the human realm, but they got it at the cost of being separated from their families for god knows how long. King got to be an all-powerful deity but he got it with the knowledge and all of his ancestors and family were murdered. So on and so forth.
I will set a slight warning in place here, just for caution, not anything dramatic, because yes the owl house is FANTASTIC and deserves all of the praise, but we've seen what happens when a lot of the community focuses just on how much a show "subverts expectations" rather than why it does so and the rest of the ways it's storytelling is good outside of that. Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a decade ago, was in a similar position for the magical girl genre, which was actually really good, but a lot of it's praise disproportionately focused on the subversive elements of the series, not it's other positive traits, like the focus on character driven writing, and a few years down the line this lead to some truly, truly awful magical girl series like "Magical Girl Raising Project" which take the surface level subversive elements but don't back them up with good writing.
Have you even read any of the MGRP novels or are you just judging the whole series based on the anime adaptation of the first arc (that was pretty barebones and didn't had very good writing)? Just saying, there's more than 7 volumes of it besides the anime, lol.
@@confused_Coast Certain core decisions like killing off the token gay couple who had like five total minutes of screentime which definitely came from the book, and ALL of the writing around La Pucelle and their gender had all kinds of deep issues with it, and I have absolutely no reason to hope the books magically had none of those issues.
For as saddening it was for the series to be cut short, it did make story as a whole so incredible and engaging while also popping in its signature jokes for some breathing room. So props to Dana to make lemons into high-class lemonade.
The collector is such an amazing character. Not only did he kick Belos' ass, but he moved the moon with his finger. We saw in Season 1 when Luz, Willow, and Gus brought the house to life with the power of the moon that the boiling isles has this insanely powerful satellite that could tear a portal into the human realm if its power is utilized correctly. Same with Belos, he was made insanely strong with the power of Palismen, like how the bat queen is exceptionally powerful by having the special wood that the palismen are made of.
And the Collector has more power than the two of them combined, with a devil-may-care attitude, which is basically the opposite of Luz. Belos has this straightforward goal of greatness and power, and Luz has the opposite goal, of hoping that she can save people. The Collector, on the other hand, has all the power, and no real goals at all.
I'll be honest, I came for lumity and the clips I've seen of Hunter, stayed through season 1 because of Eda, and by season 2 I was already invested in these characters

Protagonists in modern cartoons get all kinds of trauma.......I love it.
My only real "problem" (More like biases opinion, honestly) is that plot points where put but not expanded on, for example, Lilith's Scrying potion and Jean-luc (My beloved). Just smallthings I wished got expanded on.
I think that in the case of Jean-luc, he will be relevant to the defeat of the collector.
Luz will get possessed by the collector was a theory made based on they both shared a same physical trait. that was it. a far weaker argument then Anne looses an arm or Hop Pop dies
odalia blight is a worse mom then any one I can name. Even the Mom from Turing Red still loves her child.
A few other Disney moms could be more evil but those moms were not biological moms.
When Luz misremembers things I wonder if that's just lazy voice acting /editing but they do it in such a way that it feels intentional. We may never know.
We can misremember things for a variety of reasons. Justifying opinions, trauma, etc.
Luz is implied to be neurodivergent and in my opinion showing her process information differently especially when that information is traumatic and against her imagined routine, Is a very nice subtle way of showing this without straight up telling the audience. I thought it was a mistake at first but then it kept happening and the show draws attention to it.
I almost feel like it would be lazier to just repeat the same scene with no voiceover changes. Especially with characters who use lip sync like Camila Noceda, since that would imply they had to do extra animation for the lines.
It’s likely that aside from her parents (her late father clearly still having a place in her heart) her time on the Boiling Isles is the first time Luz has opened herself up to others beyond the happy cheerful front she puts up. Maybe she embraced fantasy books and shows because it wouldn’t mean losing someone real. The end of the second season is when she realises that she has something big to lose, that opening up her heart means facing that it’ll be broken and she’s looking at losing a maternal figure not for the first time, but in a far more devastating way.
I think this show is Steven Universe done a lot better. These characters act and respond like humans dealing with stress and emotion, despite everyone (except Luz) not being human themselves. I'm disappointed that the next season was cut short, but I have no doubt that the team will do an incredible job.

Yeah he is 8. He COULD be 9 or 10 bc we don't know how old he was when Eda found him but he is around that age

Well, I had fanfic ideas for King having a digimon partner/ becoming a pokemon trainer.
But if he's 8, King can't really go on the traditional Pokemon journey due to his age.

True, but I've always thought about having a story of a trainer who becomes strong WITHOUT the conventional "earn gym badges/ beat trials" story. Like the shadow Pokemon games/ Legends Arceus.
Instead, I'd have them get tutelage from strong trainers or trainers who specialize in certain strategies (weather, setting up hazards, etc).
@ Mann of a Thousand Thoughts I used to be the type of guy who put up a facade of calmness whenever I went through things that hurt my mental state. I'd pretend I was not sad, but then I'd cry to myself sometimes a few minutes afterward. Now, I try to wear my emotions on my sleeve, even when they are negative. Optimism has its limits and Luz is an example of that.
18:11 - 18:41 Luz learning that age old lesson: "Be careful what you wish for".
The reason people thought that the collector might possess Luz comes from two things:
1) it's really common for superpowerful beings in fiction to need a vessel to interact with the world, but the actual powers of the vessel either don't matter because the entity's own powers are far better or get overwritten by the possession anyway.
And 2) Luz and the Collector kind of look similar
This season has been incredibly impressive in what it has accomplished over a measly 21 episodes.
I can honestly say, that I don't remember any other show that has run such a tight ship except perhaps for Game Of Thrones' first season.
The comedy of TOH never hit me quite as well as for instance Amphibia, but the character-borne drama more than makes up for it.
Add to that the fact, that the show is pushing one great message after another. I'm surprised conservatives hasn't used this more in their campaign against "woke Disney". It goes far beyond "just" queer representation, it's really progressive all round.
honestly, i've never seen an animated show talk more consistently about trauma and grief as it happens than "the dragon prince" on netflix, but toh also does a very good job, particularly with Luz!
I just realized that Belos’s nose is crooked but as Phil it straight. The area that the nose is crooked is where Lilith got the hit on him, probably breaking if his nose, it’s a small detail but a interesting and thought out one.
Losing Amphibia was difficult after Steven Universe was the most recent show that I was obsessed with and had to end. Now I'm just holding my breath and hoping this finalé takes it away. Actually, I know it will, but I'm definitely not ready :')
Belos manipulates people in their lowest - He manipulates anyone who is naive like the Collector, who is desperate like Luz, and who is obedient like the covens and everyone.
That is another reason why he fears Eda up until he knows Luz is her weakness
Complete side note, I adore that you included Gene Austin’s version of Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone! Obviously it’s a remix, but both Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra get more love for their covers.
It's not breaking it, it's reconstructing it. Actually, TOH it kinda reminds me of TBATE but more less kid friendly. It's not bad tho
Weird thing for me to mention but I actually really like the title of this video: It’s ambiguous as to what your opinion is, and also provokes a bit of mystery.
People don’t care about titles much on yt but there have been some that bothered me so I figured I’d compliment the good ones lol
Shows like this a brilliant, and it hurts so much that they canceled it. Soon, Disney will have their backs against a wall of quality content that breaks the mold to atoms, and we will all feast well on that day.
I can't wait to see some of their future comedy animated shows to crash & burn in response to Disney NEVER having another quick fire success like Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens. That and storied animated series can still happen if we get them on Disney Plus.
That intro for this video would work as a flashback intro by Disney for Season 3 when those episodes pop up on Disney Plus (if not Disney Channel).

Lol I thought the collector would possess Luz as a means to exist in the physical world a la Bill Cipher. Also thought their powers would still manifest within Luz’s body
Note it also goes against the idea that the main characters (especially the main protagonist) becomes stronger than everyone else. while most shows like steven universe or even amphibia at times they become stronger than any challenger one way or another. Even Luz's abilityof doing magic it's both something anyone can do and cant even compete with the powers of their friends, the only advantage they have is their creativity with magic which let's them compete with others. With when belos using everything Luz's could but better the only choice they had was to use a new thing they learned and combat belos by using their own deceit and sigil against them.
Big city greens and ghost and Molly megee's backs are gonna be broken after owl house concludes because until the next big wave of cartoons for Disney they are gonna be the only cartoons that air new episodes

So far so good. I want to watch the ending of the series before I praise it. Too many stories started out really good and then dropped the ball in the finale. There were a bunch of things in S2 I loved and a bunch I hated. The good outweighs the bad, but they could easily reverse that in the last three specials.
I would like to point out a few things about TOH I recently realized. I realized that the TOH has a theme for near the end of the series Eda sacrifice herself for Luz in season 1 and what we saw S2 end King did it going by the order it seems Luz might do the same in season 3 end considering that she almost did it in season two end 🤔. Another thing I realized is that Disney has a theme for some of their series here are some examples Gravity Falls, Star vs the forces of evil and the newest addition Amphibia all had one thing in common near their end “separation” for the characters to grow, the best we can hope for is the ending being similar to SVTFOE end but considering that TOH S2 ending shows a connection to Amphibia Luz and Amity relationship might go on pause for a long time 😓. Luz is definitely going to stay in the human realm because she has escapism similar to Marcy in which it will be the last hurdle for her to develop as a character, in the “Reaching out “ we see what could possibly be the reason for her over the top actions for what she did in both the human and isles realm that she’s trying to avoid her problems. Her conversation with Philip definitely shows that they’re kinda the same but opposite but she doesn’t want to admit it. That’s all I can say 🤔🤔🤔

I’m glad that the show explores all characters apart from the main ones. As if they took genuine care and they explored their characters. It’s not just Lumity and the Owl Family that makes the show amazing. It’s everyone and everything in it. It’s a sign of a creator who truly cares of their work.
What i think is i just stumbled upon one of the most unique and hilarious content creators on this side of the internet. Thank you for a perfect breakdown of what makes this show REALLY stand out. I absolutely loved season 2 overall to be honest. I loved how every episode gave you development, new lore, and/or world building. I personally liked the fast pace and ir made sense to me for the season to end where it did.

Chilling prediction for next season, but what if there is a scene where Camilla, in order to cheer Luz up, shows her that she saved all of her Azura merch Vee didn't give away after Yesterday's Lie. At first it looks like it's going to be a nice scene until, we see a more than a little upset look on Luz's face, and after a few seconds of her thinking about all the trauma her own fantasy adventure gave her, she goes Catwoman/Patchy the Pirate/Luke Skywalker and has a mental breakdown, knocking over and even trying to destroy every one of her Azura books, toys, and DVDs ("YOU LIED TO ME!!!! YOU RUINED MY LIFE!!!! I NEVER WANT TO READ, OR WATCH YOU EVER AGAIN!!!!")! All the while, the others, Camilla and Amity especially, are looking on in shock and horror, and are trying to calm her down. When they eventually do, Luz can only lie down on the floor and bawl her eyes out ("Who am I kidding?! You didn't lie! You can't! You're just a dumb doodle! I'M the one that lied to me! I'M the one that ruined my life! It's my fault! It's.. my.. fault... I thought I was a hero, but I'm not! I now know why I'm called Luz! Because I'm a total LOSER!!!!")!
I'm not sure if that would be too much, just an idea on how things will go.

33:09 not to be that person, but I actually became interested in this show mainly because of people saying TOH wasn't like a regular fantasy story (plus it's snarky references to HP that I can't understand because I was never into that), and when I first discovered your first video I simply love it, because some of those genre subversions did go over my head since fantasy isn't really my cup of tea 😅 With that being though, I would be lying if I say my lesbian self didn't got emotional seeing that smoothly animated kiss scene on the big screen 💞🧡❤️

When you quickly mentioned the trauma in Steven Universe vs TOH: To be fair, Steven took awhile to process his trauma & messed up life bc it was a part of his day to day life since he was born! :3 With Luz, she’s in a different world and having a bunch of random scary crap thrown at her in the span of like three (?) months😭 poor beans🥹💖

@@Mannof1000Thoughts ok so the real reason is actually because of the "be gay do witchcraft" charity stream....in it diana had donation goal where she would release diffrent owl house related lore one of wich was a hald face drawing of a charcter (this stream was befor the end of season 2a..also fun fact but in the charity stream the year befor she did the same thing where she drew half of hunters face so people knew this charcter was important) and because this was befor the end of season 2a people assumed this was collector possessin luz due to people saying the hair style was the same and we didnt know if the collector had a pysical form since the only thing we saw of the was from knocking on hootys door withthe cresent moon face...so basicly thats where the theory came from
Edit: also people thought the collectors hat was a refrance to luz's cat hoodie since alot of use small detail like that to convey a concept and people thought this kinda like how amity dyeing her hair symbolized her breking free from her past flaws and it being abomination colored shows that she still accepts her past\flaw regardless...or something like that idk charcter design..tbh
You know what really disappoints me? We still have not gotten a chance or a glimpse of a Harpy Lilith… and this series is coming to an end early.

i think a big reason the fan theories mostly being wrong isn't a negative for me is because it's not a show with twists written for the sake of having twists. the plot is well structured and foreshadowed, it just so happens that it's done in a way that makes it obvious looking back, and a clever, well paced mystery leading up to the reveal. man this show is good
