I agree. I bet both Genshin and HSR have some amazing lore writers behind the characters' inspiration, but the Genshin devs are obviously more concerned about mini games/events and profits. I'm just glad we have another Hoyo game (aside from HI3) that cares about lore and executing it into the game. I can't wait for what's in store for the Star Rail story!
I don’t think abt it as spending on pixels. Every patch i buy the £6 daily login bonus as sort of a payment for the work they’ve put in the game. If i buy a game on steam that devs have already finished i pay a certain amount for the work they’ve done. Hsr is in constant development
I think this puts into perspective Dr Ratio's position on how irresponsible and dangerous Ruan Mei specifically is for performing these experiments on the swarm and also his disgust for Herta and Screwlum for knowing about it and letting it happen. I think the only reason he is currently working with them on some things is to keep an eye on the genius society because they are clearly to dangerous to be left alone.
Yeah that why Ruan Mei is my most hated char in HSR. People just forgive her cause she game-breaking, The lore did not provide enough reason to justify her lack of empathy toward living things.

I think by the point of this battle, and even the previous video where the clones were showing slight deviations from each other and more individuality, both Glamoth and Her Majesty had already fallen and only the Iron Cavalry remained, but because they didn't know anything else except war, they continued the fight rather than saving themselves. Also, what Firefly pulled at the end, I think it was something like a mutually assured destruction protocol and the tree thing was just symbolism for her receiving the power to put an end to Glamoth's enemies using every reserve left on the planet; rather than her being an Emanator I think that move was a one time only, however, it's because she pulled that move and survived that she now has her ultimate form which keeps a little of the power that she wielded when she straight up cut the planet to shreds, nowhere near as powerful, but much more powerful than what normal Iron Cavalry suits could bring to bear.
I assume this planet is covered with hundreds of decommissioned mechas on the surface and on the atmosphere, if you look closely it almost looks like a ring. In lore the solar system is riddled with these, a sort of river of death. I think she just blew up those causing a massive chain reaction blowing up the planet
That power firefly pulled at the end is called Complete Combustion of Fyrefly Type-IV, tho i kinda confused of how she is the only one who managed to activate it while other Type-IV SAM in the animation cant and only can reach a primary or secondary combustion. Because in myriad celestia, we can see that Type-V Fyrefly is might be already can use its complete combustion form by seeing the red wings in her back. I think this Complete Combustion ability is only few soldier can activate it by going through a certain process like our firefly did like if everyone can use that power, the swarm would be annihilated by them in seconds bruh.
@@SnZ nah, only firefly can pull this move. the Fyrefly Type-V you mentioned got red hints is just becauss they're different Fyrefly type battlesuits hence different design. (It used to be one of SAM's old concept art). the reason how she manged to obtain this power is JUST because of pure strong will. this was explained in her Keeping Up with Star Rail episode
no Glamoth was still around, its implied they died a slow death after the swarm disaster (there was a line said about the planet of Glamoth dieing a cold death due to the mass of swarm an SAM bodies blotting out the sky. Most likely what happened here was Glamoth abandoned them, Firefly saying Glamoth is gone was her coming into a realization that the Empire of Glamoth and their "emrpress" was all a big lie
9:30 regarding the whole Kafka thing "Yes, Kafka watched the whole planet blow up" in 1.0 when we speak with Kafka after her capture on the Xianzhou she says "we knew the stellaron would appear here but we did'nt bring it" the we ask her "why didn't you stop it if you knew you could've saved millions" she tells us that in order for the script to move forward in the proper manner they need to abide by what is written strictly and the goal of the xianzhou arc for the stellaron hunters was ""make the xianzhou indebted to express" if they stopped the stellaron from boarding the ship none of what happened would've so they couldn't stop it from coming on the xianzhou, but in doing so millions of lives were lost, so the stellaron hunters are essentially forced to "let" countless souls die for the best outcome as everything they do is supposed to lead to us beating Nanook in the future and any deviation means the destruction of the universe it's a fucked up situation that I don't wish on my worst enemies constantly knowing that you only have 2 options "break the script and help people in need but risk the destruction of the universe" or "adhere to the script and watch countless millions of souls that YOU could've saved but didn't perish all for the ultimate cause of defeating Nanook and saving the universe"

This has been my complaint whenever I fill out the surveys is they show us this DOPE shit but we don't get to play through it. I'm hoping that in the future with the multi POV story telling that we get to see and do more of this type of stuff. Really build the characters out. Instead of just reading a bunch of stuff in their bio page.
that's how it is with Genshin and hsr. thats what you get from a character driven story, you gotta build up to it. IMO when you just bring it on a platter on the 1.0 story like Wuwa is doing make it feels hella anticlimactic. sure they can expand and make the threat bigger and more encompassing when they have to in the future, kinda a sneak peek of what they are capable of with the engine per se, but what was that 1.0 story for man.

Ye the people who ran the factory basically gave all the clones planned obsolescence ... That way if one of them died they couldn't be used as resources by the propagation to keep reproducing ... It also gave the clones the incentive to give their lives away in more drastic measures

The glamoth empire is interplanetary. They have colonies all over their star system. There might be other soldiers like her who survived, some glamoth citizens that are not combatants probably just move to an IPC controlled world. The empire just dissolved, doesn't mean that all of its people are erased

I'm just assuming this but i think the entirety of the iron cavalry are clones of Titania or kids infused with her cells. Each and every Iron Cavalry has a link to Titania that allows them to control a SAM(Iron Warrior). Titania's cells causes each one of the Fireflies to have that colorful veins which is the source of power for a SAM(Iron warrior). After Glamoth's fall the Iron Cavalry still followed the last directive to destroy the hive even after the planet's fall. After FIREFLY was left as the lone survivor Titania's power that was split among the fireflies are siphoned through FIREFLY alone which gave her the boost to complete the mission. Titania might have been an artificial AEON or something similar that Glamoth successfully created by chance.
Acheron cuts Izumo and Takamagahara (planar relic set lore) AND the black sun Shadow of IX (myriad celestia trailer) lol. Didn't need any of that dream power up lol.
Nah. Planetary isn't that impressive to people like Acheron or Welt. The Doomsday Beast was Planetary, and so is the Stelleron and Welt one-tapped both. Emanators are stated to be Solarsystem level. Firefly is probably in between a powerful pathstrider and an Emanator. I'd put her below both Welt and Acheron but above everyone else.
I admit Acheron is a little overrated in powerscaling but we can't deny that she's a real monster and this people saying firefly powercrept her is just funny😂
Just a side comment from CN side - it's amazing how adept Hoyo is at working within a censor environment to put out 12+ content achieving 18+ artistic impact because you can tell what it actually represents - for example you tell how the SAMs were actually beheaded - how the bodies were probably all mutilated - how the red shawl on the last girl actually represents her body that was probably half charred Not trying to 'excuse' censorship per se but it's actually a good example how constraints breeds creativity
Btw this was created by the Mihoyo anime team who previously worked on Honkai Impact 3rd Animated shorts (you know those videos everyone reacts to even if they don't plan to play the game). Hence the change in animation technique and quality. They also (sadly) got rid of the unique SAM designs since this type of 2.5D animation requires unique 3D models for everyone, so they just reused the SAM model from the game.
A little note here is that Glamoth was destroyed way before the main story, which implies that Firefly was floating in space for a very extended period of time before Kafka and Ellio arrive.

One of the darkest stories in HSR and it's so fire. I don't know what it is about the whole Super Soldiers fighting a losing war trope is so badass. That whole beginning intro reminded me of Warhammer 40k or even Halo... 😂😂😂, if anyone's got the time you should check out Halo Legends: Prototype, reminds me exactly of this short. You can find it for free on UA-cam it's a 15 minute mini-episode, HIGHLY recommend!
Here's what I understood about the "Kafka recruiting" situation given the that the swarm disaster happened 800 amber eras ago, Either: a) Firefly was floating in dead space for aprox 800 amber eras before the stellaron hunters found her, b) Kafka is actually just really really old and did in fact watch everything happen according to "the script"

Kafka didn't camp there watching it all happened. Swarm Disaster happened quite a while ago. As for how she managed to live...well...a combination of plot armor and being a genetic engineered super soldier clone of the so-called empress made to be bound/to use the mechs. Also, I'm pretty sure the only ones alive at that point is the Iron Cavalry. The SAMs. Glamoth was long dead and they continue to fight because that is the only thing they know left. As for the tree...I'm not sure if it is actually there there. It seem to be symbolizing something. Lime the last hurrah using the power of all the Fireflies there.
I think the voice direction in the JP dub did a better job with the animation. SAM sounding kind of evil in English worked before we found out he was a she. In the JP, it's a lot more malleable to be "good" or "bad." Kafka English actress also sounded a bit off at the end. Overall solid short. Spot on comparison with 86.
Hoyo cooked amazingly with this one loving the mecha anime vibes and the parallel I'm seeing for Firefly with Kiana (K-423) both the clone stuff and the fire element ^_^ thou we might get an actual Kiana Kaslana down the line in HSR for sure still the parallel is there and i love seeing it. I think by the point of this battle, and even the previous video where the clones were showing slight deviations from each other and more individuality, both Glamoth and Her Majesty had already fallen and only the Iron Cavalry remained, but because they didn't know anything else except war, they continued the fight rather than saving themselves. Also, what Firefly pulled at the end, I think it was something like a mutually assured destruction protocol and the tree thing was just symbolism for her receiving the power to put an end to Glamoth's enemies using every reserve left on the planet; rather than her being an Emanator I think that move was a one time only, however, it's because she pulled that move and survived that she now has her ultimate form which keeps a little of the power that she wielded when she straight up cut the planet to shreds, nowhere near as powerful, but much more powerful than what normal Iron Cavalry suits could bring to bear.
I assume this planet is covered with hundreds of decommissioned mechas on the surface and on the atmosphere, if you look closely it almost looks like a ring. In lore the solar system is riddled with these, a sort of river of death. I think she just blew up those causing a massive chain reaction blowing up the planet
That power firefly pulled at the end is called Complete Combustion of Fyrefly Type-IV, tho i kinda confused of how she is the only one who managed to activate it while other Type-IV SAM in the animation cant and only can reach a primary or secondary combustion.
Because in myriad celestia, we can see that Type-V Fyrefly is might be already can use its complete combustion form by seeing the red wings in her back.
I think this Complete Combustion ability is only few soldier can activate it by going through a certain process like our firefly did like if everyone can use that power, the swarm would be annihilated by them in seconds bruh.
@@SnZ nah, only firefly can pull this move. the Fyrefly Type-V you mentioned got red hints is just becauss they're different Fyrefly type battlesuits hence different design. (It used to be one of SAM's old concept art). the reason how she manged to obtain this power is JUST because of pure strong will. this was explained in her Keeping Up with Star Rail episode
No, there was no protocol used to activate that power, it was her will alone. Firefly could nuke a planet whenever she wants to
no Glamoth was still around, its implied they died a slow death after the swarm disaster (there was a line said about the planet of Glamoth dieing a cold death due to the mass of swarm an SAM bodies blotting out the sky. Most likely what happened here was Glamoth abandoned them, Firefly saying Glamoth is gone was her coming into a realization that the Empire of Glamoth and their "emrpress" was all a big lie
9:30 regarding the whole Kafka thing "Yes, Kafka watched the whole planet blow up" in 1.0 when we speak with Kafka after her capture on the Xianzhou she says "we knew the stellaron would appear here but we did'nt bring it" the we ask her "why didn't you stop it if you knew you could've saved millions" she tells us that in order for the script to move forward in the proper manner they need to abide by what is written strictly and the goal of the xianzhou arc for the stellaron hunters was ""make the xianzhou indebted to express" if they stopped the stellaron from boarding the ship none of what happened would've so they couldn't stop it from coming on the xianzhou, but in doing so millions of lives were lost, so the stellaron hunters are essentially forced to "let" countless souls die for the best outcome as everything they do is supposed to lead to us beating Nanook in the future and any deviation means the destruction of the universe
it's a fucked up situation that I don't wish on my worst enemies constantly knowing that you only have 2 options "break the script and help people in need but risk the destruction of the universe" or "adhere to the script and watch countless millions of souls that YOU could've saved but didn't perish all for the ultimate cause of defeating Nanook and saving the universe"

Firefly’s ult transformation is not something that was implemented in the suit, she quite literally transform with her will alone.
This has been my complaint whenever I fill out the surveys is they show us this DOPE shit but we don't get to play through it. I'm hoping that in the future with the multi POV story telling that we get to see and do more of this type of stuff. Really build the characters out. Instead of just reading a bunch of stuff in their bio page.

IMO when you just bring it on a platter on the 1.0 story like Wuwa is doing make it feels hella anticlimactic. sure they can expand and make the threat bigger and more encompassing when they have to in the future, kinda a sneak peek of what they are capable of with the engine per se, but what was that 1.0 story for man.

The glamoth empire is interplanetary. They have colonies all over their star system. There might be other soldiers like her who survived, some glamoth citizens that are not combatants probably just move to an IPC controlled world. The empire just dissolved, doesn't mean that all of its people are erased

I'm just assuming this but i think the entirety of the iron cavalry are clones of Titania or kids infused with her cells.
Each and every Iron Cavalry has a link to Titania that allows them to control a SAM(Iron Warrior).
Titania's cells causes each one of the Fireflies to have that colorful veins which is the source of power for a SAM(Iron warrior).
After Glamoth's fall the Iron Cavalry still followed the last directive to destroy the hive even after the planet's fall.
After FIREFLY was left as the lone survivor Titania's power that was split among the fireflies are siphoned through FIREFLY alone which gave her the boost to complete the mission.
Titania might have been an artificial AEON or something similar that Glamoth successfully created by chance.
Firefly is now on par with an EMENATOOOOOOR and can stand as an equal to Acheron after displaying the ability to Supa Breaku a planet.
Acheron cuts Izumo and Takamagahara (planar relic set lore) AND the black sun Shadow of IX (myriad celestia trailer) lol. Didn't need any of that dream power up lol.
Nah. Planetary isn't that impressive to people like Acheron or Welt. The Doomsday Beast was Planetary, and so is the Stelleron and Welt one-tapped both. Emanators are stated to be Solarsystem level. Firefly is probably in between a powerful pathstrider and an Emanator. I'd put her below both Welt and Acheron but above everyone else.

Just a side comment from CN side - it's amazing how adept Hoyo is at working within a censor environment to put out 12+ content achieving 18+ artistic impact because you can tell what it actually represents
- for example you tell how the SAMs were actually beheaded
- how the bodies were probably all mutilated
- how the red shawl on the last girl actually represents her body that was probably half charred
Not trying to 'excuse' censorship per se but it's actually a good example how constraints breeds creativity
Btw this was created by the Mihoyo anime team who previously worked on Honkai Impact 3rd Animated shorts (you know those videos everyone reacts to even if they don't plan to play the game).
Hence the change in animation technique and quality. They also (sadly) got rid of the unique SAM designs since this type of 2.5D animation requires unique 3D models for everyone, so they just reused the SAM model from the game.
A little note here is that Glamoth was destroyed way before the main story, which implies that Firefly was floating in space for a very extended period of time before Kafka and Ellio arrive.

One of the darkest stories in HSR and it's so fire. I don't know what it is about the whole Super Soldiers fighting a losing war trope is so badass. That whole beginning intro reminded me of Warhammer 40k or even Halo... 😂😂😂, if anyone's got the time you should check out Halo Legends: Prototype, reminds me exactly of this short. You can find it for free on UA-cam it's a 15 minute mini-episode, HIGHLY recommend!
Here's what I understood about the "Kafka recruiting" situation given the that the swarm disaster happened 800 amber eras ago,
Either:
a) Firefly was floating in dead space for aprox 800 amber eras before the stellaron hunters found her,
b) Kafka is actually just really really old and did in fact watch everything happen according to "the script"

I think the voice direction in the JP dub did a better job with the animation. SAM sounding kind of evil in English worked before we found out he was a she. In the JP, it's a lot more malleable to be "good" or "bad." Kafka English actress also sounded a bit off at the end. Overall solid short. Spot on comparison with 86.
Hoyo cooked amazingly with this one loving the mecha anime vibes and the parallel I'm seeing for Firefly with Kiana (K-423) both the clone stuff and the fire element ^_^ thou we might get an actual Kiana Kaslana down the line in HSR for sure still the parallel is there and i love seeing it.
