    Thanks for the shoutout! Good review. That puukko has been on my hip for the majority of my excursions recently.

    Good review there of tops knife , it really is a solid blade with a thick tang going along with the handle , does looks solid and built for the purpose and to take up beating as well.

    I've been looking for something with a puukko feel, with a full-tang construction, and aftermarket kydex options. This knife is at the top of my list right now. For years I've been beating up moras for woods tasks, only spending more on my edc blades. I may change my ways with this one. You mentioned the sheath as your biggest consideration when comparing to the garberg. Seeing as how the knife spends more time in it's sheath than in hand, I wish more reviewers would show the sheath and how it carries on body.

    Condor Trivittata Puukko is looking to be a real winner, Just ordered one. Same designer that designed the Tops Tanimboca

    I got the mora eldris first and loved the handle as it was a squeezable material,then got the garberg. The handle looks the same but as you already know it's hard and I was afraid my hand would slip up the blade but love it otherwise so I cut out a nice finger groove with the eldris and a Dremel and I absolutely love it .

    I love this style knife. 3 inch blade is great to work with. The scandy is so easy to keep. I would love to have one of these. Moras are great but I like the full tang and the mora sheaths are very noisy in the woods.

    Looks too much like a kitchen knife at first glance to me not that it’s a bad one of course, up close in hand I might say something different . All jokes to one side, finding that special knife is like trying to find the woman of your dreams,had to look over both shoulders to make sure she doesn’t read this😂😂😂❤

    It's not a scandi grind.

    • @411Outdoors
      @411Outdoors  День тому +1

      It’s actually listed as a modified scandi grind
      The grind is the TOPS "modified scandi" grind, which is essentially a higher scandi grind with a considerable secondary bevel.
      The TOPS Knives Tanimboca Puukko is a Scandi ground knife, which is a style of knife that originated in Scandinavia. Scandi ground knives are known for their thick, round wooden handles and lack of finger guards, which allows the user to get their hand closer to the cutting edge for more precise and controlled cutting.
