Clairo is my fave artist ever, like I am literally in love w her and I have all of her music on vinyl and CD, but I rly am just whatever on this. Like idk, if she wants to do sexy music I think it needs to be more properly pop. Charm rocked. But no one can be sexy HOW Lana is, and this is just way out of Claire's league lol. Claire and Lana are just too different, the song sounds wrong hearing Claire sing it. It still sounds rly bedroomy in a way that almost clashes with the clarity of the chorus and the subtleties of the mix that bring it into contemporary pop. Like idk, sounds way less finished than all of Charm and even Sling which is literally a stripped down folk album. Yeah idk this isn't doing too much for me. I appreciate it tho, it's cool seeing Claire do whatever now. But this just ain't it in terms of the direction for her sound or aesthetic.
