her pose is incredibly difficult to maintain in terms of core and ab/dductor strength, not to mention the entire weight of her body on her ribcage. and she had been doing them back to back, everyone else got a break 😂 i peeped her twinkling her top fingers to try to hold on a little longer cuz once he set his shoulder he was very stable and secure in his hold. i feel like he could have gone for a while lol. they both did phenomenal work!!
He didn’t lock his elbows properly and his hold probably wasn’t stable enough. You need to remember that Tessa’s being held her entire body weight by her ribcage, so the core strength and balance can only be maintained if the partner has a proper, stable hold. But the giggling probably didn’t help her maintain her core.

Its when big talents meat great teachers and hard work is done every day. The special spice here seems to be that they are seemingly treated well enough and for ballet having quite a positive athmosphere to grow toghether. Im not sure that this is the case but it just seems because they all seem so modest and chill...

Ok I love ballet forever, dance is my first love but I have just discovered the art of pairs figure skating and the brute strength that the man half of the pair needs is out of this world. There is often times then they are holding up their partner for well over 10 seconds not even talking about the throws. Artistic sports are incredible.
People don’t realise how incredibly strong male dancers are. It’s taking Cruz everything he has to hold her for a few seconds. In some of the major ballets he’d have to do successive lifts of that length and more. It’s technique too, but also raw power.
Misty Copeland is a Principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre she began dancing at the age of 13! Please don’t give up you’re never too old to start to dance
