So I didn't like the commentator saying this is a game for Scott to steal constantly. So it's not guaranteed if you go first you win the game, but there is a good advantage to going first. I liken going first to having home court advantage in basketball. You are suppose to win at home, but maybe your opponent ends up winning. I think winning a game when going 2nd, being on the draw, is stealing a game. I think it should be stated more like if going first securing the win, if going second stealing a win. Since it is best of 5, if whoever goes first has the advantage of winning ideally it goes back and forth until the final match where the person who started the first game going first will also be going first to finish the match. But if the person starting game 1 going second is able to win a game along the way while going second they have the better chance of winning the match thus stealing advantage. I understand the announcer was probably saying steal the game to mean run away with it. Suggesting the player would get out so far ahead so quickly, the game would be a free game. I just disagreed with his choice of words for calling those moments
to be honest i think the commentator being pretty one sided on this idea or over focusing that first usually is an auto win is correct alot of the time, whne two players are similar skill level and the opps both have good decks alot of the time it is like this. the only issue here that the commentator doesnt realise is the other thing that breaks this from not being true is if you heavily deck diff your opp in the match up, which edmund does majorly
