    Now I know now why balls way back in the times of kings and queens are held in big echoing halls in their castles because the Acoustics and reverb hits different just like in this huge airport, it's just a couple of intstrument but it sounded so full and complete, there is really no need for electronic mic or amplifiers. The echoes are so much different from a hall versus a theater, it sounded so elegant given the amount of people

    • @the_tactician9858
      @the_tactician9858 6 місяців тому +286

      Very sharp! I find that a lot of old theatres and halls have fantastic acoustics. Churches, especially once you remove the benches, are a great acoustic place as well. It makes sense to build a place of public speaking or music and make it so that noise carries further, and its kind of a shame that modern technology has made it redundant.

    Imagine this: you’ve been at the airport for hours. You don’t know how long, you’ve lost track of time. You’re tired, your flight was delayed 3 times, you just wanna go home, you don’t care if the plane or seat you get is the worst seat in the world, you just want to be seated at all. Your mind is half-working at this rate as you continue to sit and waste more and more time at the airport when suddenly out of nowhere, you hear a piano. It has a catchy tune, but then you hear more. A saxophone, a violin, a trumpet, a tuba. You are absolutely confused. This doesn’t seem real, it doesn’t feel real, but in all honesty? You appreciate the show as a distraction from your troubles, both in and out of the airport.

    This makes me feel like I'm in the Victorian era in a long flowy puffy gown with frills and floral fabrics, surrounded by nobles from different kingdoms, hushed chatter, and clatter of wine glasses toasted. The eggshell white walls designed with careful detail of intricate patterns and the windows decorated with petunias, vines, and lavander that make the view from the balcony floor feel like the castle was but a fairy forest. The food, catered to the best quality and the ballroom dancing commencing as a hand reaches out asking to dance. Everyone in sync as the symphony plays; the warm atmosphere filling the air.

    Around 1:50 when the violin sings over everything else is gorgeous. And I love the ethereal sound of the tuba solo. This entire thing is just stunning. Even the saxaphones had their moment! Everyone together really did sound like a whole orchestra. So in tune and beautiful

      You would enjoy Mexican music. I believe Waltz No. 2 was inspired by a Mexican song and movie in 1938. The movie "La Zandunga" 1938. The song is much older and of the same name but sometimes with different spelling "La Sandunga". It is a Mexican folk song. Here it is sung with orchestra. Compare with Waltz No. 2. ua-cam.com/video/X9ebIRUzhDk/v-deo.html

    Words cannot begin to express how elating it is to watch people realize there's a new musician. I'm really happy for the multiple cameras that caught them pointing and staring in awe.
    Obviously the people dancing are cool too, but those little "oh, there's another!" reactions are underappreciated.

      Most of the pioneers of other genres like rock, pop, blues, etc. were classically trained. Most modern compositions still follow the rules of ancient classical music. Why reinvent the wheel when it's right there ready to put your spin on it?
