    479 in 11 years is not a failure

    I don’t think it failed… we really made a good chunk of them but with the longitude and other factors we ran out of production space

    The Mustang was not cancelled because of lack of demand! Scott Ernest (Cessna president) made the decision to kill the program because of the lower profitability of the design compared to the 525 series. Yes, sales fell to zero but that was only because they raised the price and pulled ALL sales efforts.

    This guy is just after click bait. The mustang was never a failure. Cessna wanted to move more up market and focus on larger jet aircraft. Nothing that fails lasts over a decade.

    There's no "i" in fuselage.

    Not enough of the PW615F engines to support the fleet, take a closer look at the runaway programs for the engines and the failure to be able to accomplish hot section while on the wing had a lot to do with the 510 going away.

    I would not classify this as a failure, 479 JETS inside of 10 years is actually quite successful. What it seems like to me is it ran into obsolescence, the M2 replaced it and is a better product in every way. There are other manufacturers that would love to have made and sold 479 aircraft in 10 years. I mean not everything can sell like a Cessna 172, or a Piper Archer, or a Beechcraft King Air.

    Does it hurt when you talk?

    It is an excellent aircraft and still in demand as a great value. The CJ line basically replaced it with updated models. So, your premise is incorrect.

    Three quarters of the video is simply a list of aircraft characteristics from Wikipedia. Nice.

    Max Altitude is 41.000ft, Vmax Flaps land is not 135 but 150KIAS;

    Please discontinue using the 'rough cut' style of cuts, it looks bad as it looks like poor edits on a work print.

    Incredibly fast? Mmo is 0.63. For a 50-year-old Citation I it's 0.705

      Yeah. Isn't that the Cessna Slowtation?

    • @jhjet510
      @jhjet510 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, the low Vne (250 kias) and Vmo (0.63M) was a huge mistake. However, the Mustang cruises at about the same speed as a Citation I on a LOT less fuel...and it has modern systems. Yes, you can buy an old Citation I for a lot less but there's a reason for that.

    Probably failed because it couldn’t do the distance.
