12:15 OMG I've been playing Colonies completely wrong; I was placing them, not claiming the VP immediately but leaving them active for the remainder of the game! Inadvertently making them the most OP cards in the game. Thanks for the great guide.
Can we immediately use the card’s ability as soon as it is fully charged on the current turn? For example at 8:27, can we use that card ability of “Exchange this card with any other card on your board” immediately after fully charging it on the current turn?
Great explanation. I've tried to teach this game to a few people and the charged cards is always a road block in the teaching. After learning that the main stuff you do is tied to the number rolled, people struggle with the idea that you don't need to roll the number matching the card with the charge cube on and, if I remember correctly, the timing of one or two of the abilities is different than the rest. Like all of them are blue, red or green except one or two and it's, "Wait I thought I could use those anytime?" Gizmos has the same "pause your turn and take a mini turn in the middle of it" thing as well with the green shields.
Ooooh, that's a very cool game. Thanks for another awesome "how to" video. I need to try this one soon. And wow, they had to draw a lot of different ships.
Can someone explain to me the dice rolling so the first player gets the blue rewards and the rest get the red I get that but what happens when it’s the first players turn again does he only get blue rewards and the rest red I’m confused
The is an error in the video. When you can exchange cards for other cards you are not limited to deployed for deployed or space station for space station. You can exchange between the 2 types and they become the ones they were exchanged for
It seems a lot for a new player. But then, so did Civilization. In that case, watching a couple of playthroughs helped. I suspect the same would help here with Space Base.
Hi Jay! You can maybe always teach or learn the basic part, and explain the details as they came out? We really enjoy playing Space Base and usually play with beginners too :)
Thank you for taking the time to explain the charged cards. No other video I found did it any where near as detailed as you did.
Thank you for taking the time to write, glad it helped you :)
Definitely the best "how to play" -video for Space Base in youtube! very clear.
Hi again Sourgoo! Thank you so much for your kind words and joining us the live playthrough as well :)

I've been curious about Space Base for quite some time but haven't had the chance to play it. Thanks for teaching me how it plays!

@ 8:00
Am I misunderstanding a rule or was there an error here. If you can only activate each reward once, how could you gain both items in sector 12?
Oops nevermind, I figured it out. I forgot the whole sector activated, not just a single ship's rewards.

Hi Jon G, than you for the visit! Hope you enjoy this game too. Haha yeah there are some new concepts in this game.
Amazing explanation! Thank you so much for that!
🙏 our pleasure, thank you🙏
3:27 I thought there might have been some mechanic that happens when you roll a spaceship on the dice, but it turns out that's just a fancy 1.
Haha that would be fun, isnt it :)
Very nice clear and concise how to play. Thank you!
Hello Steve 😀, thank you so much!

Great work guys. Much appreciated!!! :)
Thank you so much Malik!
Some of the abilities are rather confusing as to what they / how they play out. Could you do a deep dive on them?
At what point during my turn, can I activate a charge?
Great overview and teach as always. We haven't had the opportunity to try this one yet, but hopefully soon😊!

Space Base! Have you played it? How about Bingo? If you haven't it's a bit like bingo, and more! ;P
This game is one of the items currently on a buy 3 for the price of 2 sale on Amazon ….🙂
Haha great bargain, everyone, gets it! lol. Thank you for poppin in Ajan!

Just a few different cards, you could go in without knowing all the cards, but it helps to know the cards for the strategy ;P
Too many little things to remember.
