- China's relationship with Africa is not a new one. For decades many Chinese have been travelling to the continent, to establish new businesses and make new contacts. While inter-governmental relationships have largely shaped these dealings. But today's world is one dominated by the youth. And the emergence of Chinese youth in Africa is gradually shaking off that steep perception of their older generations that they once took for granted.
This episode of Talk Africa engages 3 Chinese youth who have volunteered their time and services to give back to society in Africa; and are also changing the way older Chinese generations perceive the African continent
This is helping to shape what it is like in Africa, it is much appreciated, not what we see here n North America.
And the Chinese are going to run everything in Africa.

Wonderful interview. The guests were very spontaneous and honest in expressing themselves. I especially like the Guangzhou girl, who spoke excellent English, who must have lived in San Diego, CA., as she mentioned San Diego. It's heartening to know Chinese and Kenyans like each other.

I love watching the documentary. What is beautiful is they are so honest. The problem that Chinese and Africans is we have preconceptions about each other not through our on faulty but because of the narrative from the west. Thise people have depicted Africans and Chinese people's in a very negative way. The young people are proving the west wrong. Chinese people and African people's have the same dreams and want the same things out of life. If we help and love each other we can go far. Love the program

This is really cool. Even if the Chinese are there to take resources they will build the place up better than anyone else who came before. Africa has the highest population of young people anywhere else in the world with plenty of women. Also, we black folks come up with a lot of new ideas and products. If Chinese help Africa will be unstoppable.

Its good for Africa, besides we are mostly willing to give our best when another race take the lead, its sad to say but its true. We should learn from the Asians team work and work together too. Think about it how can Asians and other cultures come to our country and make great progress and changes and we are willing to give our best to work with them. But my experience when a black person try to do the same making great changes with their own people its most challenging, but separation is not the answer we all should work together and build together. I believe Africa is as rich as Asia and America we just need to use our resources and build, allow the good to progress more that the bad.
China has been in Africa working with that government since 1973. While most of the Western world used Africa as a door mat, China did work to provide a positive infrastructure in Africa.
I think the whoever decided to call south of sahara of Africa "Sub-sahara" really misrepresent and absolutely created a bad impresssion. Anyways, europeans have always try to potrait Africa as a country or small region so that people would not really care.

Chinese people are friendly, because of the one belt and one road, more and more Chinese enterprise went to Africa for construction, including many areas, for example, the infrastructure, this will help Africa people very much. Chinese became different esp. when they are talking in different language other than chinese, they showed more charm and demeanor than they back in China speaking Chinese, they are seemingly friendlier outside China . I`m starting to think that maybe it`s because of cultural atmosphere and relationship between people in China are with less trust, and feel more like they are defensive, this should be attributed to society and some kind of deep-rooted culture but not individual.
They are in Africa for a period of time not like EUROPEAN come and do nothing to develop our continent
